  1. We’ve done ok without looking really threatening. Feel that if Liverpool shift up a gear, they will get another good if they want it.
  2. As disappointing as it is, 'resting' Isak is the right call. Always seems to be something goes against us when we go to this place. Proper bogey ground.
  3. Anfield is another bogey ground and they are in real form at the moment, so I'm going for a routine 3-1 win to them. i think Eddie may have one eye on the Brighton game, so I expect some rotation tonight.
  4. Brexit Jim and the Glazers are to the Mancs what Mike Ashley was to us. A never-ending stream of penny pinching coupled with negative stories and a totally demotivated squad. They are in real trouble - if not this season, next. Their name alone may not be alone enough to save them.
  5. No idea. Bob Cass is the one I rememeber. I also remember Doug Wetherall doing sport for BBC Look North. He looked like a proper old sports hack!
  6. The days of Bob Cass on Radio Newcastle.
  7. Hanging on at 5-5 from what I remember listening to.
  8. Said that to my old man, when I went to his to watch Man City v Liverpool.
  9. Must admit - I was having visions of QPR v Newcastle back in 1985, during the 2nd half (another for the older posters!)
  10. Wow - what a shambles of a 2nd half that was. What the hell happened there? Over the moon with the win, but by christ - worrying almost capitulation!
  11. Wow - didn't see this coming after we went 1-0 down. Murph was having a stinker, but our first goal seemed to give us belief and we've blown them away. Miley been terrific in midfield, Hall the same at left back. Isak's movement at centre-forward is killing them. That 10minute spell was the Newcastle of 2 years ago.
  12. Can't really go all guns blazing today with it being such an important and big week coming up in terms of games. I agree that Willock needs to put in a performance and I'm also keen to see where Miley fits into the midfield.
  13. Point for Blyth at home to Ilkeston. Finished 1-1. Ashington lost 3-1 on the road. at Bridlington.
  14. Southampton 0 Brighton 4 Hinshlewood
  15. St Mirren 2-0 up at 10 men Rangers.
  16. Arsenal down to 10 men. Lewis-Skelly sent off.
  17. Fulham 0 Palace 2 Mateta VAR check though. Disallowed for offside. Still 1-0 to Palace.
