Santon has publicly stated his desire to move to Milan too. Does that make you uncomfortable? Wasn't that more 'sometime in the future I'd love to play for Milan'? Slightly different to saying he'd actually rather join them when the two clubs are bidding. Which is what Mbiwa is saying "I hope that eventually I could join Milan". No, I agree, there is a slight difference, I just don't have a problem with it I suppose. If a player has a desire to play for a certain club in the future (and I'd suggest almost every single player does), it shouldn't stop him playing well for a current employer. If anything for Mbiwa, it acts as an incentive to do well, and if he does well enough (with us for example) to have the mega clubs sniffing, like every player, he'd be on his way anyway. If we can realistically sign a quality player, I'm not going to worry to much about what might happen a year or more down the line.

If memory serves me right, in Mike Ashleys infamous statement he said that we wouldn't spend big money on players over 26. Apart from the obvious Cisse example, i would'nt exactly call £6m " big money" if i'm honest. Well, hark at you Mr Moneybags.

Pretty sure it was more like £10,560,000.

For every 31 Indonesia sulphur miners that worked that day, only one died a slow painful death; But hey, lets not worry about the little fella eh. People like you make me sick.

Well I'm not sure your opinion counts then. I have, and it was literally a crude drawing of Brian Pinas on some fag paper.

Find some front and back publicity shots, or take a photo down your local SD once released. Print both sides out on a decent ink jet printer. Cut around outline and staple together. That kind of quality.

It is time to cut our losses.

Saying what? I'm guessing here, but - 'Newcastle bid €6m plus sell-on fee for Debuchy'?

If he has been disappointing then I don't think we should be too upset to see him go. Good luck to him.

Fucks sake. Sick of this now.

It wasn't Shepherds fault that the fans didn't back Robson. We all had concerns, but I was standing there giving support on the lap of honour and there was a stream of disgruntled so and sos walking in front of me saying fucked if I'm staying to applaud this lot. I was one of those saying that we should look to replace Robson early that summer or back him, but I was shocked by the attitude that we deserved better than him and the team that day, and I think it set the wheels in Shepherds mind turning.

We cover all costs and receive nothing. In fact the club has to pay many hundreds of thousands back to Sports Direct in compensation for loss of stadium coverage.

How far can you see? Until the status quo changes. A day after tomorrow.

Danny Simpson is our right back for the foreseeable future.

Bugger. Kept saying I had spares on here but nobody seemed interested. In the end sold them for way less than half price last Friday.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
BottledDog replied to Pilko's topic in Football
Not really he's never been a good footballer, he was good at being on the end the type of attacks we built during that time span but he was never a good footballer. Also he's been awful for longer than he's been good. This is the type of thing I'm talking about. He was immense for us in 2010, you must have been in a coma during that period and compensated by having a flick through the book of football cliches. What Ian W's saying is fair enough but comments like yours are ridiculous. He's had a bad time at Liverpool but will be a good Premier League player. He was good for 6 months and he's been awful the rest of the time. I have to believe it was a flukey run of form as in nearly 2 years since he hasnt come close to replicating the form not even once. I realise he was really good in those 6 months when he had the entire team built for him, but before then and since then he hasnt shown anything to suggest it wasn't just a flukey run of form. 6 months? He got his first team debut at 17, was awarded the Jackie Milburn pot, after scoring against Juve a year later he was given a big up by Buffon, when we went down he became first choice and top scorer, he was given the number 9 shirt and every man and his dog expected big things for him. He lived up to the hype, looked absolutely unstoppable at times, and became the most expensive British footballer of all time. I'm still pretty sure he's got more about him than just getting the rub of the green for half a season.
