Going by his press conference today, he doesn't think either is leaving. .... Meanwhile, in Spain. http://therepublikofmancunia.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Fabregas-Barcelona-shirt.jpg

WHAT A FUCKING SHAMBLES!!!1!1!!! -
He's not in charge' of Newcastle United, he's the first team manager. As most managers generally are these days. Think most managers in England still have the final say (or at least some say) on transfers. Pards clearly doesn't. Carr has come out and said emphatically that all he and the scouts do is put names forward, then organise trips for the manager to see the players play. That's as far as their involvement goes, it is then up to the money men, with the final say going to Pardew. Is Carr now also part of your imagined cabal of liars at the club? Wut. Pardew certainly has no say when it comes to outgoing transfers, that much is clear. It's pointless even discussing the managers influence at the club though while we have these muppets at the helm. The best we can hope for is a decent coach. Is Pardew a decent coach? Probably not. That was a reasonable 'Wut' to that line tbf. Pardew has a say in outgoing transfers, just very little when it comes to the big one's or transfer disputes. Again, I think that is fairly standard across the board. I do believe he has a good degree of control and the final say in all incoming transfers. Just my opinion of course, but the players he has brought in are not randoms, they are all players that fill gaps in our squad and change the philosophy of the team quite dramatically. I believe this is something Pardew along with the scouts has put together without influence from the board.

Very odd. A great shame if true.

Fair enough, I really hope not though. He said it would take 5 games to get the new players up to speed. To even have people thinking about his sacking before 15 games into the season would be criminal imho. As we're effectively rebuilding the whole team, the guy needs time unless the players are consistently under performing.

Stoke must be unbelievably clueless then, Pulis has just said that they hope to bring in another 5 to 6 players before the end of the window. Poor deluded saps. "We could do with desperately getting those players in as quickly as possible" was also said. Why haven't they done it then? dunno, perhaps if they'd raked in 40 - 50m in transfer fees in the last 8 months they might have managed it? They are not saying they won't get them in though. It's not always down to cash.

No, because that would be brazenly twisting his words. Well done for being the first though. Why haven't we replaced him then? Surely having two left backs at the club is not that outlandish? Every other team in the division seems to manage it OK. We will replace him. As I've just said, he just pointed out that we couldn't afford to have 2 first choice left backs on our books. Disappointing obviously, but not particularly outrageous either. Especially if we are looking to bring through Furguson and in particular Kadar this year. I think that's a reasonable post, but its just the fact that we have NO left back before our first league game of the season- against a team like Arsenal- is what really kills me. Why should we be in this position? We shouldn't, that's all there is to it. We should have either bought someone weeks ago or stood firm against Liverpool and only sold Jose until we'd signed a replacement for him. Why does everything for this club have to be so difficult? We're a fucking joke. I'm way off saying we're a fucking joke, but I agree with everything else you say there.

So he wasn't saying we couldn't afford a replacement for Enrique, but that we couldn't afford to have 2 first choice left backs on our books. Disappointing obviously, but not particularly outrageous either.

Rather Simpson stayed where he should and Kadar or Ferguson on the left. -

It's been asked a million times, but has anyone got a clue why Kadar has disappeared off the face of the planet? -
It seems absolutely mental unless they have a clause saying that if he plays over 15 games this season let's say, they are obliged to buy him for an obscene amount.
-
It was hard enough watching, reading, even hearing about the last season with Carroll, and seeing Jose play for them will hurt for a good while yet. The big club comment was as you say completely unnecessary. And here endeth the thread.
