  1. I think he did say he would, a long as it was on a free (not sold) iirc.
  2. Load of bollocks (hopefully). That would rate Foster the same as the money we turned down from Celtic for a start, he'd not be a guaranteed starter, and, well, Robert Green is fucking awful.
  3. Bit lacking on the football a bit these days, but still pop down to http://billyfurious.com occasionally.
  4. Ashley signed off on all of the contracts you mention. It's not an excuse. Like buying us, the contracts are a mistake he should live with and make the best of. He can't expect them to take fucking wage cuts when wages in the game are still rising everywhere else. It's not like Colo, Jose, Nolan or Barton got any worse since we first signed them, if anything they are/were at their most valuable at the end of this season. Yes, live with until the end of the contract, which he is doing, then either party can choose to strike a new deal, or walk away. Situations change, and apparently in terms of the wages we feel we can offer, they have for us. It's hardly unusual or underhand, a number of contract jobs I've taken on recently have been for a lot less than I could have got away with in the past, so I don't see why footballers should be a particularly special case in that regard.
  5. What are the benefits of him taking the Carroll money out V leaving it in the club? It all seems a bit confusing because whatever's in the club (player assets, money) is his anyway, but as he's been charitable by not charging interests on the loans, it would (I presume) be in his interests to reduce those loans and put the money elsewhere?
  6. Oh aye, and who do you think will be the one getting the say on the board as we won't all fit? Uber mouth piece Steve Wraith by any chance?
  7. Give over, keeps us young man.
  8. Many people would be the same. I still think a punishment/fine/time in the reserves would have been better. And there is no doubt whatsoever he'd have kept stirring the shit. #pointless
  9. Indeed, his tweet regarding the only ways he'd leave the club last night all but confirmed it.
  10. You have to be fucking kidding me. You think they'll be laughing at releasing a player on a free?
  11. Got what he wanted then, if true. Very poor from Joey.
  12. Hasn't Routledge been one of the people most supportive of those players expressing discontent at the running of the club on twitter? If by supportive, you mean retweeting (though not commenting on) one of Bartons tweets..... then yes.
  13. Forster and Harper in the same squad is strange. A half each? Doubt it. Pardew has already said, Harper gets this game, Krul gets Fiorentina.
  14. At least they have a board that has ambition and cares for the club, right. Right?
  15. Win some games, lose some games, won't go down, fingers crossed we'll build on last yeat and break into the top half. Mainly I hope the types of players and kids we've brought in make us look forward to games, and be excited by the team whoever we're playing. I think with Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Harris, Furguson, Abied and Marveaux, will will.
  16. But as Hughton said himself, there is nothing stopping a manager just bringing in some of the kids for experience. Why bring in a rule that limits a managers choice?
  17. I'll never understand you kids and your money wanks.
  18. For real? WayneRoutledge Wayne Routledge @rateyourplayer That can't be true? Wayne's not so sure.
  19. Exclusive: @Joey7Barton has been told he can leave Newcastle now for free? Stoke have offered him personal terms
  20. ust watched an interview with Hughton on SSN and I still can't get my head around the substitutuions rule change. Anyone got a scooby why any club would benefit from it?
