The pundits are apparently saying we're down. Not sure which one of that lot we'd replace mind. -

Your obsession with the balance sheet is getting a little disturbing, at a guess thats your 7th wank over it this week. I'm hoping to get to your level soon. Clearly. -

Judging by his other 'tweets' I think he probably does take it to heart. Either way it's pretty unacceptable say such shit to someones face, and I don't see why writing it down and sending him an insult is any different. The fella has never had a bad word to say about us. -

Lot of time? Supposedly we haven't even put in an offer. Are we drafting the thing in morse code?

Jaysus, he's still going. @TheFurlz ha u think am that naïve?....wouldn't be surprised if u were a plant from a certain discount retail org. Do me a favour and jog on I think you're pretty naive to think that that is not pretty sodding inflamatory in itself. Certainly in Ashleys eyes... and I'd agree with him. @TheFurlz I wouldn't give u or them the satisfaction......infinitely more intelligent than u think #helmet #plant #nofineshere I think whatever line there is to cross before a fine is due has already been passed sadly. @TheFurlz sold?? ?? Not a chance matey. Am here till it expires or am given a free transfer.... Now to some that may make you sound principled, but to me that just sounds like your outbursts tonight have shown you have no love for the job anymore, and now just show you fishing for a free transfer. I've defended you right to your opinion here (hell, really liked you attitude generally), but I'm now really close to wishing you'd shut up, or fuck off.

In that no Premiership team has shown interest in meeting his contract demands anymore?

NUFC 0 - 0 Fiorentina - 6/8/11 - game abandoned on 64mins due to heavy rain

Pardew said we'll have a much stronger team for this, but I too would be amazed if there weren't a fair few missing the luck we're having. -

Alan Smiths departing goal in this one. COOOOOOOMON!!!!!! -
Aye, proper strange It was like he saw a long lost friend in the crowd. Btw, some Leeds fellow in the wetherspoons on Park row was giving out cards for a Newcastle forum: www.n-u-t-z.net/forum , i would get him telt Dave, stepping on your patch. He said in his interview on nutv that his family were there and after the goal he was looking for them but couldn't find them.

@Joey7Barton Joseph Barton @TheFurlz do u want the truth? Or something beautiful? If I didn't I say f**k all and pick my money up #helmet The thing is though (while TheFurlz was being a dick), it's not as if he is even giving us 'the truth', just vague hints at problems which just frustrates the fuck out of everyone. I hold Joey in high regard, but just can't see this opening volley ending up helping anyone.

Not traveled home on team bus according to Steve Wraith. (I know, I know, its twitter bollox!) Barton hasn't either by all accounts. Why would he be tweeting Danny Simpson if they were on the same bus home. (Doesn't mean that they've fallen out though but it does seem a bit odd!) I don't think they were tweeting each other till they'd have been back in Newcastle tbf.

Christ, just seen the goals. I know I have tried to say in the past the Celtic fans were far from universally praising the guy after last season, but you have to feel for Foster a bit. He's not as bad as he's making himself look pre-season.
-
You reckon 3 CBs is sufficient for an entire season? I think 3 decent quality CBs like Coloccini, Taylor, and Williamson is adequate, with cover from Tavernier and Kadar. Obviously, in an ideal world we'd get someone in who was good 3rd/4th choice for CB (or someone who could cover both LB and CB), but it's not that big of a worry..... in my opinion. How often did Cambell get in the team? I expect Kadar needs the chances now rather than bringing in another player of a not disimilar quality to Perch, happy to sit on the bench for the majority of the time.

Fuck. Can't believe we've missed out on Goodwillie.

All 4 have reasons to be a little bitter though? One saying it should send alarm bells though, when it gets to four it simply can't be a coincidence. I mean i don't think they are going into the training ground and kicking off with each other or anything like that, but i'd put money on there being a bit of an atmosphere. I don't think even what Barton has said suggests there 'being a bit of an atmosphere'. I can't see anything coincidental in that the 4 players showing disappointment are have had contractual disagreements or are being sold (despite wanting to stay). Look none of us have any evidence, we are all just speculating, so i won't pretend to know more than you but it's just a gut feeling. I just think we have an unhappy camp atm. No problem, we'll just have to disagree which is fair enough. There have been a slew of interviews with various players on nutv that would suggest a very happy camp, though not one without the stresses of the tour etc. So overall, I just see the odd complaint as a pretty standard reaction to the uncertainty of pre-season, exaggerated by the instant opinions brought by twitter this time around.

Not willing to commit to the club, leaving them to feel an increased freedom to criticise the club with impunity.

Or simply the third option, he wont sign a new contract but will stick around for the final year.
-
Bingo. Typical journo spin. Claiming major unrest? Just expressing his own disappointment again imho (echoed by the departing Routledge).

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)
BottledDog replied to a topic in Football
Nope, think it's fair to say all of them, including Pardew etc are less than satisfied. Just can't see us finding a headline player willing to come in at this stage though sadly. Hope to feck I'm wrong mind. -
Doesn't look hopeful in the near term (as already stated) from the nutv interview. Interesting which player we are after has the delusions of grandeur he talked about though. Could be Erdinc, could well describe a player in Sturriges position, or more worriyingly Defoe. What it doesn't sound like on the plus side, is your Longs or Beckfords of this world.

And some fans take the findings of a tribunal, that the club was inconsistant in its portrayal of who had the final say on transfers, both in private and in public, and continually use a quote from Keegan (not the tribunal) to try and whip up anger, which I find a little unnecessary. /and before big Geordie sticks me on his list, while I do wish for the best and feel things can still move forward under this ownership, I still find them deeply unsympathetic characters who have shown a lack of understanding and enough mistakes to guarantee them a good deal of cynicism over their actions as it stands.
