Maybe if he was more on it he'd have known where the player was behind him, or would be behind that player himself. He's 19ft tall, he doesn't need to be in front of anyone. Maybe.
-
Where he can't play? Trippier needs a rest. Tino at RB & Hall at LB at the weekend please.
-
Burn is situational as well. For games prior he was getting worse in terms of play, getting more and more desperate, and this was down to fatigue. Anderson is the only one you can full say isn't to overplaying.

We'll be able to rotate, but he won't. That's the problem. Not enough minutes off the bench is one thing, but playing the same team week in week out was always going to come crashing down with more games. Now he's got no choice but to not rotate. Had this been Bruce we'd have picked up on this and rightly seen this obvious issue. We've had this discussion before, about Howe toning down training, that's how he's decided to deal with the extra fixtures. Same players, more competitive football, less condition training to balance it. Or, he could rotate...he made his choice on how to handle it, and I don't agree with it. It's certainly not knee-jerk either, I said back in March that this would happen. Howe isn't perfect, there's lessons for him in this as well. If he doesn't think that, then he's not the person/manager I hold him to, but as i've already said, he'll asses all this, and I'm sure different decisions will be made next season.

It doesn't really work like that though. There's direct injuries from fatigue, then indirect. The indirect ones are caused by players being out of position, more desperate, making mistakes, losing footing etc... Pop Dislocated his shoulder trying for a last gap save in a game where if we had more attacking options, would have been dead an buried and Manure wouldn't have had the late pressure.
-
Missed the point. Rotate back then we he had choices, now he doesn't and they are dropping like flies.
-
Obvious even back then. Needs to rotate more, and his refusal has played a huge part in the injury situation imho.
-
He's ran his players into the ground and we're paying the consequences of it. Feel like a lot of this was inevitable. Small squad in terms of reliable quality, additional games and expectations, recipe for disaster when 1 or 2 injuries kick in, the more follow chasing the gaps and now we're 14 deep and only the fans can carry us at home. He adjusted training, intensity and frequency, but could this have made it worse? He certainly doesn't rotate enough and can't rest players out of a winning team. It's the first time he's really had this to deal with, I think if he started again, he'd do things differently. But that's what its about, learning. Next season he'll have similar problems, but with hopefully more to pick from, but he needs to trust in rotation, or we're never going to achieve what we're all hoping for.

Villa don't look fatigued.

Tony Bellew & Pimple Paddy would be proud.

Could we not go in stages, build 3 sides as close to SJP as possible, then build the final side when its ready.
-
It's an interesting job, one which historicaly suits a British manager to match the club and it's fans, however the ownership, control and setup suggests a foreign head coach is what is needed. Could quite easily go down the Watford route and keep getting it wrong whilst switching out with relative ease. Will Still would be a genius appointment. If there is even a hint he'd be tempted then you throw everything you have, including breaking payscale.
-
Just hope it's a well behaved derby. Sick of seeing both sides taking it too far and letting themselves down.
-
Fair enough. I suppose you can't really trust big business, and it's silly of me to think thryll put the fans 1st.
-
The former brum bloke Imoif they can't land their French based coach.
-
Agree with what you're saying, but if they weren't arsed what we think then why ask?
-
This is why I'm keen to explore it being part of its future. I personally don't overaly care what the ground looks like. Football stadiums aren't the prettiest and if you're against glass and steel, then you pretty much hate them. I'd like to see something like villa park with the buildings being part of the foundations of a stand, and allow a whole new world of people know of them and their influence. You can't get away from a grounds roof, but say one side of it is represented by LT, listed aside, wouldn't that be something to live in keeping with the city. It'll not happen, I know, too many hurdles, but maybe someone with a better grasp on what can be done could propose something which protected the future of both sites.
-
Aye, the majority of nufc fans care more for LT than SJP.
-
I'd rather nowt changes than move it. Thats what might have to happen. Seems more likely, maybe a modest 5k increase with some creative thinking. Just means we won't compete with the very best or, you'll be charged £100 a game. Can't have it all ways I suppose.
-
Cultural vandalism ??? SJP is more important to me than a building I've never set foot in, and probably never will. It doesn't matter what it looks like, it's about what it means and what it can mean to generations to come. They build on its culture and it becomes something greater. Leazes terrace will never mean as much as that to as many for as long as it stands. It could be part of it though.
-
The past shouldn't stand in the way of the future, but it can be part of it. Make them part of the new design and give them a new purpose, as at the minute they do nothing but stop a city from growing. Shame if that's what they were known as for future generations.
-
Just grt rid of the lot. Move the training ground to London. Change the name of the club while we're at it. What's a club anyway?
-
One has uses and the other is an actual tourist attraction. These buildings just exist. But glad they mean more to people than SJP.
-
How often do you go visit the buildings? What's you're greatest memory of them? You'll get a good view of them when they tear down SJP after we've moved. Be all worth it I'm sure.
