  1. Do you really think Allardyce is the kind of manager who can come into a club in trouble and adapt himself quickly to the players he has to keep them up though? He was good with Bolton given years to find the right players for his style but he showed here that he can't adapt at all. He can only play one way and if the players don't fit his style they're fucked. Adaptability, the man possess none of it.
  2. As long as we sort our own house out in Jan, then i'm not. He's only a danger to us if we do nothing in the Jan window. I reckon more bad times are to come for BB, their fans are as fickle as they come and when the lose in boring style they'll turn or as usual barely show up. Their best players want out and why not, its a dive of a club punching above its weight.
  3. Not seen anything of him at Juve so got no idea how he's playing or if Juve would even sell tbh. Just always thought he wasn't as bad as people suggest and in a pure defensive role he's a monster.
  4. It's not like Butt can do the simple things any more, such as passing in a straight line. Sissoko as a protector making short simple passes only would be a magic signing for us imo. Only thing what worries me about him is the amount of bookings he picks up and for that you'd need cover for him.
  5. Yeah, that's my view on it. Plus I reckon it'd be a lot cheaper to buy a better midfielder than Barton, than it is to buy a better striker then Santa Cruz...not that we'd sign him anyway of course. Aye, all pie in the sky really, but nice thoughts to keep me ticking through the day.
  6. If we had Cruz we really wouldn't need Viduka, not for the wages he's on. I'd like to see Barton get a chance, gutted for his injury, but if he's somewhere else he's someone else's problem.
  7. Cacapa, Smith, Viduka, possibly Barton. Exchanges or cut price deals, lets hope he's thinking along them lines. Smith & Barton in a straight swap for Santa Cruz. All four would be better.

  9. I'd have Sissoko as a replacement for Butt in a heartbeat. Think he'd be just the kind of player to improve us and relish the role we'd offer him; 1st team player, protector of the back four.
  10. With FSA back in the game and in need of players, lets hope his 1st call is here to take his grafters and shite back.
  11. I think he's far too stubborn and pig headed for that. It could happen, but the chances are surely like his ability to adapt...very small.
  12. Why is it a shame? I'm fishing btw. Because i like the lad, and we all know how much playing for the club means to him. But results are what's important, and as a fan he'll have to accept they are better right now without him, and as a player he needs to pick himself up, grow and learn from it and become a better player.
  13. Fat man is going to get one of these, would be nice to see him take a team down. If i were a chairman of these two clubs i'd be going for Curbishley, think he's the best British manager available right now for free and really getting a foreign man in is such a gamble, a gamble at the bottom i doubt they can afford to take.

Has he? Looks like he's gone very much backwards this season, in fact end of last season citeh fans were on his back. Good start to last season though, but has faded since. On a scale of how much hes come on and how much Taylor and Milner have come on aye. Johnsons in the 40s somewhere and Milners number 8. I think noble is twice the player Johnson is. Johnson isn't living up to early hype, more so than Taylor & Milner without a doubt.
  15. Got to stay the same for as long as possible. A settled back 4 is what the club has been crying out for for several seasons. Its a shame Taylor couldn't be there, but now it really is up to him to prove himself and take his chance if and when he gets it. Finally a positive situation in terms of the team for him to learn from.

The TV money they'll get for playing at home will probably be great than any gate receipt they'd get playing at SJP.
  17. Everton are broke like, can't see them coming in for him. Spurs i reckon will pay money to take him now, and offer a decent wage but top it up with a big signing on fee. Citeh could be in for him from the off, or could see big names knocking them back left right and centre so he's backup come the window closing.
  18. The way Owen celebrated his goal against pompy for me has given me confidence in him wanting to stay. I'm now 15% certain he'll stay, the most optimistic i've been so far.

  20. To be guaranteed to be paid at least £90kpw at 33 in football is cracking for a player who's missed 2.5 seasons out of the last 4, no matter what the talent. It must be making him think. Can understand him wanting to leave, if this was us playing for any other club we'd want out too, especially if you are a player capable of winning trophies.
  21. I think it will take a lot to turn round. Their best players wanting to leave and the fan disappearing quicker than when they arrived when playing well. With the league being so tight, a turn around will probably do us more favours in the long run as they'll take points of the relegation candidates keeping more down there than just booking one spot for themselves.
  22. 54, feeling unusually optimistic. One thing i can say though our run in is good if we can turn SJP around.
