are you sure you have that the right way round? No Good job i aint voted yet then.
-
Hope he does come back, should never have bottled it in the 1st place. Come back, admit his mistakes, get the club moving forward again and i couldn't be any more happier for him to return.
-
3 or 4, can't make my mind up. The threat is there and its real, but back to back wins and we'd be talking 7's
-
Haven't seen his display against Boro, but really glad the lad is impressing and finally we have real options at the back. Cacapa should be ashamed of his talent, direct from France and upstaged by a kid. Good work Bassong.

He looks like Richard Reid, its nothing to do with his religion, where he comes from just that he looks like someone and someone infamous which lends for him to be ripped accordingly. If he wasn't playing for Boro, Boro fans would be singing it at him, in fact the spuds rivals did it way before us, but being london based clubs nowt was said. People need to stop getting all Louise Keeeeeeys about this. I'm not denying there's racism in football, or even racism in our own support, but FFS, this is political correctness gone mad. People took the piss out of Griffin looking like Fred West, mainly his own team mates, but since they are both white people in question they can accept the humour and get on with it. As soon as an Arab or Asian gets a little bit of a ribbing its an outrage. I wish they'd stop taking themselves and everything so seriously.

Thanks. Had Bellamy's against Feyenoord in there as well but its not displaying from this end. It was, but not now. great photos

Na. Neither are right for the club and Kinnear is easier to get rid of.
-
Lets hope he stays to see his contract out as those words fill me with great optimism. If he is in that frame of mind for the reast of the campaign (and it wont get better with Quinn saying he needs a clearout before spending) then Sunderland have booked 18th place.

Sunderland manager Roy Keane admits he is considering his future at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats surrendered the lead to lose 4-1 at home to Bolton on Saturday to stoke speculation over Keane's future. Rumour has consistently linked Keane with the Sunderland exit over the course of the season and the former Manchester United star hinted on Friday that he could leave at the end of the campaign. But the defeat to Bolton was Sunderland's third successive loss at home and Keane has now suggested that he is constantly assessing life on Wearside. "I ask myself every single day if I am the right man for Sunderland," he said. Honest "I asked myself this morning and I said that I was. Tomorrow morning if the answer's no we will have to look at it. "I have to be honest in my assessment. It's not about what's best for Roy Keane. It's Sunderland football club. "I might wake up on Monday morning and think I'm the right man. On Tuesday it might be different. "I'm the manager of this football club and ultimately I'm responsible and I've never shied away from that. "That's part of being a manager and that's why I take full responsibility for today and the run we're on and everything else."
-
His role is to be sold for decent cash. I suppose Kinnear could talk him down and sell him at an even bigger loss.
-
Lets get behind him. The season was another write off when Keegan spat his dummy and ran away. Stay in the prem, look for a buyer, strengthen the squad & lower the wage bill should be our priorities (in that order) from now till next season. No one will have us in this wild period, and he hasn't done too bad and is pretty much a likeable character.
-
It's more that Desailly was the Bassong of the past.
-
Yes. Sorry like, but we can't afford players who can now and then give us something to leave for free, not in this economic climate. I'd sign him up now, and play him to sell in the summer, we'd easily get £3m+ for him again from promoted clubs. I'd sign Harper up as well, release Butt (finished) Cacapa (never had it) and Viduka (costly mistake) as overall they provide nothing to the club and have no sell on value due to their age.
-
What's he been doing for the last 4 years then? The Waltz?
-
Probably do a decent job, could easily get them in to the prem playing Bolton style football. Good move all round.

Blades win Tevez boost http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4552298,00.html Blades claim victory in latest High Court battle A High Court has ruled in favour of Sheffield United against West Ham in the latest twist of the Carlos Tevez saga. Mr Justice Teare has granted a temporary injunction to stop The Hammers from appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over a ruling they had breached Premier League rules in signing the Argentine. The decision will allow The Blades to pursue their arbitration claim for damages over relegation from the Premier League last season. Sheffield United are expected to return to the High Court for a full trial in the coming year meanwhile, as they seek a permanent injunction on the CAS matter. Issues An independent tribunal ruled that Tevez was not eligible to play for West Ham at the end of the 2006-07 season. The Argentine, who now plays for Manchester United, was deemed to have played a key part in the London club's Premier League survival as the Blades were relegated. The South Yorkshire club are expected to claim up to £30 million from the Hammers, but this will be assessed at a future arbitration hearing in private. The Blades went to the High Court to stop West Ham appealing against the arbitration tribunal's findings that hiring Tevez was in breach of Premier League rules - and the South Yorkshire club were entitled to recover damages. When West Ham filed an appeal from the arbitration decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland, the Blades claimed this was a breach of the arbitration agreement between the clubs and that the CAS had no jurisdiction to hear such an appeal. The judge granted Sheffield United's application for a temporary order restraining West Ham from taking any further steps to pursue an appeal or challenge the tribunal's findings other than by way of an application to the High Court.

Pirates' Brit Captives: We're OK One of two British hostages being held by Somali pirates has said they are being treated well - and was relaxed enough to ask the latest Newcastle score. Chief engineer Peter French, from County Durham, is one of 25 crew members being beld on Saudi oil tanker the Sirius Star. The 1,080ft ship, laden with two million barrels of oil, was seized on November 15, becoming the biggest vessel to be taken in the pirate-infested waters off Somalia during a recent spate of boardings. The other Briton being held on the ship is James Grady, from Renfrewshire, the Sirius Star's second officer. Speaking by telephone from the ship, Mr French told ITN News that his captives had not mistreated their prisoners and said he hoped to be able to speak to his family soon. It was not clear whether he was being supervised by the pirates during the phone call. He said: "The pirates - no problem whatsoever. We have had no mistreatment or anything. "Hopefully we are going to get some more phone calls to our families soon. Our families don't have too much to worry about at the moment. All in all, we are not too badly off." The chief pirate held the sword to the back of my head and told me to open the safe... The pirates got their $24,000 - the crew's wages - and were happy. Captain Peter Newton tells about being hijacked en route to New Zealand He asked about Newcastle United's latest match and when told they had drawn 0-0 away to Chelsea he said: "Excellent, that's a good score for us." Referring to the crew, he said: "The boys are quite happy. We are talking to them all the time, reassuring them. "Apart from the inconvenience of being locked up, our life is not too bad." Mr French said the crew were allowed a measure of freedom by the pirates. "I don't mean we're locked up as in we're not locked up in cabins or anything, we go about our normal daily work. We're just continuing doing our normal day." Mr Grady described the lightning speed of the hijacking. He said: "It was early on the 15th. Ship's time 0855 on board, and by two minutes past nine we were shown down, they had control of the bridge by then." He said he had no idea how long it would take to resolve the situation. David Miliband: 'We'll Pay No Ransom' :colo: (Can move it to the chat section mods, just i cant get in it properly from uni, and it is footie related as well )

Had the honour of knowing someone who was going to one day submit some money to the cause. He was also so great he told everyone else several weeks later after they had that they should do what he has just thinking about doing. He was a legend.

It would be typical that the area NUFC have been solid in for several seasons for a while completely disappears within 2 transfer windows.
-
Not letting him go out on loan this season was a massive mistake, no wonder the kid is angry, his career slowly gets wasted away doing nothing just like 90% of the youngsters the club holds back.
