  1. A LB? Yep that will do nicely. Sorry, i'm a slag and would take just about anything in that position, especially a NT captain with experience, just what we haven't got in that position. As long as he's retained some pace, his age is of no concern.
  2. Good news. If KK wants to turn this club around, he needs to work with Martins. We need to get Shearer in ASAP to work on him too. I'm glad he's committed, its been a huge fall from grace for him from Inter, he's put up with a lot of shite, but he seem attached to us, and i'm grateful he's gone that way, i know he has a lot of weaknesses, but he also has a lot of key strengths our club lacks without him. I hope we can fill in the blanks. Great news in fact.
  3. More than what we have tonight.
  4. If we survive, it won't be disgraceful. It'll have given him 5 months to have a look at the players at the club and 5 months to scout players. If we survive, it'll have been a wise decision not to sign anyone in the Jan window. Wise? Jesus Christ. It will be fortunate. Wise would of been getting some players in who could spark a very poor season. Wise? mackems.gif Fuking hell. Typical short-term outlook. Wise? Fortunate? Semantics as far as I'm concern. We won't be stuck with overpaid players whom we've overpaid for and might not even need. Typical short term look? Shut the fuk up man, If you cannot see that our inactivity in the winter window has had a negative effect on this club you want (and i've thought this for a while now) shot with your own shit. We are already stuck with overpaid wasters, and what's to say KK in the summer (and what's to say he would do it in the winter window) wont do the same again or equally as bad, stick with the wasters we've got and treat them like 1st teamers?

  6. Winter window signings would of enabled us to get 40pts for the season. As it stands, its going to be close that we get 35pts nevermind 40. Disgraceful all round.
  7. 1 Given - No cutting the mustard anymore, an offer over £6m and i'd sell 2 Carr - Goodbye you fuking wanker 3 Jose Enrique - Another Spanish flop. We'd get our money back easily in Spain, however i hope we stick with him and he sticks with us. 5 Emre - Never palys more than 3 games in a row, costs a fortune, time to say goodbye, anything over £3.5m would be good. 6 Cacapa - Liability. Too small, weak, erratic. 7 Barton - Horrible twat, lets hope we took out insurance against the enevitable. 9 Martins - Got something in him, a good player is in there, it just needs unleashing. 10 Owen - Crock, expensive, heart and mind elsewhere, i just wish his body was as well. 11 Duff - Not as fast as he was but still has looked ok under KK. I'd give him a shot but if we could get our money back then we should. 13 Harper - Not good enough really. Backup at best. 14 N'Zogbia - Our bright spark. Unhappy, lets hope we can rectify that, i'd make him wait a season, this time next year if were doing well he'll want to stay. We should force him too for at least another season. 16 Milner - Hard worker, useful player but i don't think he's a winger. I'd much prefer to see him through the centre as he's a good passer of the ball and a better striker than most of those who get paid to do solely that. 17 Smith - Crap, just plain crap. £6m down the drain, i'd rescue whatever we can in the summer, mad thing is, i reckon we'd get the lot back! 20 Geremi - SBR was told off Jose his legs had gone. Correct. Gold star. Got him for free, i'd let him go for free. 21 Beye - Solid, composed and a cut above 22 Butt - Terrible passer and the rest of his game has faded rapdily over this season, release. 23 Ameobi - Not going to mkae it now, time is up, sell him to the highest bidder. Anything over £2m is a good deal and i think people will pay it. 25 Faye - Solid but never seems to get a good run of games. Picks up niggling injuries far too often, cannot be relied on, but a keeper for sure. 26 Ramage - At one time he could do a job for us, but time has passed him by and a career can only be had away from this club. 27 Taylor - Under constant pressure in an awful team, like Martins though has a talent and is a player KK needs to get going again if KK wants to turn the club around. 36 Viduka - Never fit, on daft wages, sell him. 39 Carroll - Better than Smith, needs to be given a chance at this level.

    Look like a chav twat.
  9. Gerrard does bitch at the ref an awful lot. Though no more than Shearer did tbf... Yeah but at least Shearer was class for England, the influence over refs was deserved. Gerrard has done fuk all for England and probably never will, waste of time protecting him, they should actually be clamping down on him. Do see your point. Was it Liverpool vs Villa where Gerrard and an opposition player ran in to each other accidently, then Gerrard bitched like hell to the ref about losing the ball after running in to that player, won the free kick, then scored from it late on to snatch a win? Was harsh as hell and blatant cheating that won the game. Class free kick though! That would be the game and the incident. Far too often he gets away with murder, the FA should mark his card, they do it to plenty of other players, notice how none of them are big stars at big clubs playing big roles for England.

  11. Instead of appealing against the ban they should put in a complaint against Javier Mascherano, he did in fact go for his face/throat and should of walked as well.
  12. Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has mixed with the Toon Army at away games, but rumour from St James' Park today suggests he is having second thoughts with tension getting near fever pitch due to poor results. Not only are fans becoming very frustrated with the form of the team and serious threat of relegation, but Ashley will take a warning from the scenes at Liverpool at the weekend. The American owners of Liverpool saw a public relations stunt go sadly wrong as they walked into a pub to mix with the Reds' fans. Tom Hicks Jnr says the Liverpool fans who spat and threw lager over him will not drive him out of the club. The 6ft 4in son of Tom Hicks, one of the club's American co-owners, was forced to leave the Sandon pub near Anfield by a number of angry supporters after attending Saturday's Premier League win over Middlesbrough. Hicks Jnr, who was made a director along with Foster Gillett, son of George, made a surprise visit to the pub, which served as the meeting place for the formation of the club in 1892. He was with friends and security men and at first there were no problems as he responded to questions from fans. But the atmosphere became unpleasant as a crowd formed. He had lager thrown at him and one fan spat at him before he was driven away. He said: "I've wanted to go for quite some time to see the birthplace of the club. I also wanted the opportunity to have a direct talk with some of the supporters. "I respect that some patrons have major disagreements with us, but that comes with the territory. I did have several constructive conversations in my short visit and look forward to following up with them next time I am in Liverpool." He made no complaint to Merseyside Police over the incident and the matter is unlikely to be pursued. Some fans want Hicks and Gillett to sell up, claiming they have not kept the promises made at the time of their takeover 12 months ago and have also treated manager Rafa Benitez unfairly.

  14. ....loan? Free agent I guess then? They paid about £3m for him at the start of the season IIRC>
  15. How much do you think KK will have in his transfer pot? £50m wouldn't buy all those players. Bentley - £13m+ Bent - £10m Poulsen - No idea - £8m? SWP - £10m+ Bridge - £4m Dunne - £1.5m Chimbonda - £3m Close though imo. I'd be amazed if Levy thought about selling Bent for £10m, he wouldn't take a hit of £6m in the space of 6 months or so. He'd rather wait to see if he came good. Chimbonda is available at £8m, it may possibly get reduced a bit depending on the interest, but it won't be coming down to £3m. Poulsen is being reported as having a deal in place to go to Barca, don't know how true it is though. Ramos did want him but not any more apparently so I guess there might be some truth in the story. Because Ramos doesn't want him there might be truth in a deal taking him to Barcelona? Jesus, do you honestly know how that sounds? What if Ramos did want him, would the deal to the worlds most famous club be dead in the water? 12 months by the time the window opens for Bent, and yes he would take the hit if Ramos wanted to sell and bring someone in. He'd be wrong not to do so at his managers request. As for Chimbonda, good footballer, bad personality and getting old. You'd be mad to pay anything over £4m for him, and i doubt anyone will by the summer, you had your £8m Chelsea chance last season, you let it pass you by, you wont get an offer like that again.
  16. That's right, I remember the story now. He'd be nuts to do it though unless its for a CL club. Citeh (although falling away a bit) look good for their money, captain to boot, he should sign on, just use his position to boost his future earnings which im sure will be how it pans out
  17. Dunne is not out of contract but as from the summer he can buy himself out for the remainder of what he gets paid. Unless he signs a new deal in the summer, tbh i think he will, he can walk for a minimal fee.

  19. I'd say the £250m is about right. What did he pay? £135m? plus £100m clearance of debts, spent about £7-10m, so he'd certainly be looking over £250m mark to make a return. Now would be the exact wrong time to sell us imo.
  20. Shame, they really could have taken Liverpool much further backwards than they already have.

    Steven Taylor

Again people bench marking him against the worlds greatest of talents. That goal had absolutely nothing to do with Ronaldo being world class btw. No it had everything to do with NUFC being shite and a push over, not just Taylor tbf. Another excuse. He had a mare for that man. You might rate him but you can't argue with that. Having a mare against one of the best attacking Manu teams in history in terms of technique, flair and pace is nothing to be ashamed of. Hold it against him, i don't, i just hope you hold the same opinion of the games result and performance against the rest of the team and most certainly the manager. I was talking about the specific incident. Which I think I made clear. Always looking at the smaller picture.
  22. Just what we needed like. Harper for the remainder then, no point brining Given back until next season imo, it might sort this injury out finally.
