Poor window from us so far and can't help but feel disappointed, however if we've signed no one then it been what's best for the club. Fees, wages, agents, FFP, quality, background checks...so many factors and of course, a player could simply fancy another club over us or want to stay put. Done all he can with what he's got. I'd like to see more rotation, but if we did, we may not have seen the results we have. Trippier is playing like he needs a game or two off. Wilson is clearly put of steam as well, but Isak coming back should help with that. Board need to close a couple of signings this week, less faffing, more action or waste the best chance we've had in a decade to qualify for the CL. Even if we don't (I don't think we will) we at least gave it a go and land in the europa with a squad better equipped for it.

He'd be good in Howes press setup, which is why I wouldn't rule it out and see why we're linked, but I don't think he has enough creativity to push us on. He's better than Murphy & Fraser, if we can shift them and condense into him then great, but even with his and his clubs stock dramatically fallen I still think it'll be far too expensive for what we'd get in return. We've just corrected the over pay on wood, let's not do it again.
