  1. This is very true. It's impossible to ignore it completely. I wish I could. Accept the club is dead . Act accordingly . So you joined up here after the deal was said to be off just to tell people to give it up. f***ing weirdo. Im giving my point of view as regards what we can do thats most effective in getting rid of Ashley - you can agree or disagree but theres nothing weird about having a different piint of view - maybe a bit weird to insult people for having a different opinion from your own though but . Well if you feel so strong about it, completely give up, delete your account and get on with other things. Simple as that, practice what you preach. Im not asking people to give up on NUFC im asking them to give up on SDFC . I know you think you are current and edgy, but your the best part of a decade behind the general opinion on here. The only way to get rid of him is for a takeover, even with last weeks news this is the closest we've been, and still the nearest option to getting sold, so there's plenty people rightly not ready to give it up. I can't grt round your thinking that you'd come on here and start preaching to people and tell them what to do and expect everyone to think you've got it licked. if you're not a wum or former poster, then the truth is even worse.
  2. You join up here to tell people to walk away. You're a wum/banned poster, people will click on soon enough.

  4. I’ve been that way since an hour after it all came out. One big last roll of the dice. If it doesn’t happen after all this has come out and external pressure is applied, then it wouldn’t ever Have happened and they’ve lost nowt either way. What it’s done is shake up the status quo. Yeah I have always had a thought that since they said they still want it to happen, that theirs more to it. The more we hear of it, the more I’m convinced that they are still in the same position behind the scenes and have only just changed the public face of it. I think if it did go our way then there would be no positive headlines until we got a statement saying the deal has been completed out of the blue. If they’re putting pressure on by changing public face, they’ll be doing twice as much in private. Nailed on there’s been dialogue between KSA and uk government over this, the results of that are yet to come imo. Gloves are off. This simply isn’t over.
  5. Joined. Can my money go towards paying for members to travel down to PL HQ and protest? Preferably with eggs.

  7. What's left, 1 year? Its not worth £500m. The buyers would be investing more than that year 1, then on and on, unlocking a 35m viewer market. Those right treble with KSA being the one of the biggest markets in the deal. Don't forget the draw we have as a club on viewing figures as well. When we drop out the league viewing figures tumble. We have more of a voice than you'd think.
  8. I've got absolutely nothing else to be positive about in terms of football, I'm not quite ready to let the light die out on this one. I'm happy to have it all thrown back in my face but I just don't think we're done here.
  9. I'm still quite calm and relaxed about all this. Apart from the airing of dirty laundry in public by the consortium nothing has changed in terms of the takeover and bid (it's still officially on the table, all buying parties are still interested and Ashley is a willing seller) If that hadn't happened and they chose the less nuclear option we'd still all be doing the same and feeling the same, so if anything it just brings the attention to a broken process and cuts out all the speculation, it's with the PL and they haven't passed it. What happens next is obviously crucial. You may think it just fades away and nothing good happens (and you are possibly right, i'll be honest its more likely than not) or its stirred a few fringe parties in to action and things are being discussed behind the scenes. Either way It's all over in a couple of weeks but i think we may see a positive reaction coming, if not i accept it was never going to happen and we've been led a merry dance by the PL. I keep thinking of that feeling if goes through unexpected rather than expected. It'll not be relief and tempered celebrations, it'll be full on cocks out, alcohol poisoning bedlam. There's a chance. The fans are really doing their bit in the media as much as they can, they aren't prepared to let it go and sweep under the carpet and i think this is crucial for tipping the balance. PL may disgruntle a couple of members by approving, by not approving they've mobilised a supporter base who are ready to go to war with the fuckers till the end of days. Once they realise this, there's only one option left.
  10. £20k is fine, he wants £30k. He can't move directly to another English club without us asking for a fee, and I think the Udinese/watford loan deal now Watford are in the Championship looks dead. I'm guessing our owner situation doesn't help, but his options don't looks as rosy as they did a few months ago.
  11. Well then, Matty. You staying or gone already?
  12. I didn't even have any #cans in tbh #bottles on my own in Heaton Park you must be sweating in that gear
  13. Drank my beers 4 or 5 times over. Then had nowt for 6 weeks. Back to drinking again now though, probably the right time to.
  14. It's great that a large number of people aren't happy about this, but it will have no impact at all unfortunately. Hopefully it will lead to a better boycott of the club moving forward though. Not sure what that's gonna achieve anymore, given Ashley has "shown" that he's a willing seller. He's going to care even less about investing in the club now. Can't boycott as most won't be allowed in anyway and can't aim this at Ashley as he wants out as much as we want him to go. So the focus is the PL and must remain so. Or just accept it and watch the club die through apathy and neglect. Go on then, how will it work? Tweets? Strongly worded letters? Worked for Qatar, the fiancee, Bein etc...
  15. Interestingly, if Ashley put the club in to administration, resulting in a points deduction - we might be relegated (but we'd need an 11+ point deduction). If we were relegated as a result of that deduction, the NUFC takeover would no longer be subjected to the O&D Test, as the sale would be under the jurisdiction of the EFL and not the Premier League. I'd accept this option in a heartbeat - a season in the Championship to get rid of Ashley and have PIF owning us, how quickly do you need your arm back after I snap it off? Would go on to next season now. Maybe we can offer to swap places with Bournemouth or Watford?
