Well that was either Bruce’s last NUFC game or it’s mine. I’m happy either way.

Woy will wetire.

He's quality. Never had pace to lose and if he's fit he's their best player. He'd be in our top 2 players if he came here. Liverpool team is incredible, no shame getting forced out of their squad.

Interesting this, what other big-ish European cities don't have a decent football club? Sunderl....naa...not a city York is always my go to on FM when doing a lower league journey.
-
York, man. Greatest city on earth not to have a decent football team.

Why is there always at least one person asking these questions?! He's had a decent season in the league below us. He hasn't exactly set the league alight, all he's done is outperform a little. Stop wetting your knickers, man. Its a simple enough question (or you want to talk about Leeds all day), don't like it scroll on.

I don't think so. Fair play to the lad and fair play to his coaches if he ever makes it as an established Premier League striker (something he could still be 2/3 years away from, if ever), but he was never going to be much use in Rafa's squad between 2017-2019. To even become a 16-goal Championship striker, you need to be playing every week at that level; do you potentially damage the lad's development by hanging onto him, sending him on loan to a different club every single year, whilst continuing to pay his wages, on the off-chance he develops into an asset for the club? Or do you make an early judgement on his potential, sell him and wish him the best of luck? The latter seems like the most sensible option for everyone involved in his case, particularly given how far away from PL football he looked. Plus I think you've got to have something really special if you're ever going to become a truly effective PL striker at 5'8. Mbabu's the only sale I can think of which was perhaps a bit hasty. Mitrovic is the other one you can throw into the mix but his sale was undoubtedly the right call imo. He was never right for Newcastle. Wasn't what we needed when we signed him and wasn't the right type of striker/personality for Benitez; was the best thing for all parties that he left. I always thought there was something there with him, so no surprise he’s done well this season. For me he should have still been on our books being loaned out to championship clubs until he had a season like this (reckon we’d have got more in loan fees than transfer fee) Then he gets his chance in the squad. I’d have him over any of our current strikers. He’s played a lot coming in from the wings, before heading up top. He’d have had to break in our team the same way as he’s done there, but I think his pace and ability to score goals from anywhere on the pitch would have seen him make the grade for us as a good squad and utility player. Mbabu was criminal. Think Mitrovic was absolutely us, just not Rafa, and again better than anything we have now.

16 league goals, players of the year and goal of the season for his club, was Adam Armstrong’s transfer to Blackburn for £1.75m another Rafa transfer mistake?

Still using Whyte bikes logo. Now this is the type of guy who’d get control and sell the the training facilities and stadium to developers, then fold it and stating his time was a success as he made a profit.

I'm pretty sure a 2/10 or a 1/10 season would be worse, no? He’s not going to get chance to deliver that. If it starts he’ll end Up canned, sold or loaned out. I can’t even think of a player who has played and delivered a 1/10 season for us, or anyone really.
-
Solid 3/10 first season, but Good news is it can’t get any worse. I’d stick with him as a squad player, take AC place on the bench. Who know he might start finding the goal with pressure off him,

So they've got to be better than Hull, Wigan & Charlton next season. There's still Ipswich plus a couple of other teams i'd put ahead of them as well for promotion. They really are just another League One club now. Shame.

I've read it, he's like a dog with 2 dicks. He's heard something, no doubt about it and its the same source that's leaking over here. This really is the day the worm turned imo. Have you just done a complete 180? Didn't understand your confidence that the Saudis cutting off Bein was a good thing at all but also don't think its just finished now More like a 540 I had heard something before the start of last week, then keys came out with his shite, and it really looked like end game. My feeling was KSA has agreed a deal with the rights and everyone was happy. That obviously was misplaced and now we’re left with the fallout of the whole thing going off the rails. I’m guessing the pl are thinking wtf you do that for, as they were close to putting it through, but now hang back to see what KSA do next. This stalemate will go on for a few more weeks then it’ll get too close to the new season and for the good of the club they buyers will pull out and the pl will pay them the deposit Ashley gets to keep. Whether another bid comes in I do not know, but fully expect this to clear the way for Qatar to own Leeds and it go through within a few weeks.

Grealish is class like. He's kept Villa up if it happens.

Yup. What a total waste of time and investment emotionally this has been.

Arsenal later who are in form. Should be a decent game at least.
