No - dragged it on beyond the terms agreed which dictated when the completion was required. When that expired, Ashley wanted a new deal/renegotiation. That's how it reads to me. If you think back to the PL leak earlier this week, that was clearly a shout to get it done before deal expired. FUCKING PRICKS. Could only happen to this club. At least it’s over. I’m starting feel relief already after the initial kick in the nads. I walked away for several months last season, I can easy do it again, this time though nothing is bringing me back.

And this is dead.

£10m or £50m, really is a massive gamble to try and stop this sale and go for another party. As we’ve seen so many times deals like this can fall through or stop due to unforeseen circumstances and the Mauriss bid is littered with question marks from the beginning. If you put all the legal ramifications and making an enemy of KSA to one side, there is still little benefit and huge risk in trying to swap the bidding party at this stage For the sake of a relatively small amount of money. it’s the most unlikely scenario I can imagine, though and I’m sure everyone is the same, you just wouldn’t bet against Ashley being so thick and stubborn to do it and it all blowing up in everyone’s faces.

Don’t they play Fernandinho there because Laporte is never fit? Seems like he’d play a lot of minutes, and at least half as good as Maguire. How many top drawer centre halves out there? Plenty enough to know they should be aiming higher. They don’t need half as good as Maguire, they need twice as good to compete with Liverpool.

He's good but not good enough to sort citeh out to challenge Liverpool properly. So this will likely be another waste of money by pep at the back. Be great here though, or Tottenham, Everton etc..

It’ll be the same for most due to the virus impact, I doubt he cares too much, he plays whoever the board signs. Also any manager who has issue with budget cuts while clubs go to the wall is an utter arsehole. He’d only be furious if something has or is ping to impact his own gain. Losing his job would be no1, however I doubt he could be furious over something so inevitable.

Lingard. I wouldn't want him in the championship, which is where we'd be heading if we signed the likes of him.
