Difficult start to the season, but not liking how toothless we are upfront. Even Woltemade is more a creative forward than a striker. Wissa not being injured would have made a massive difference but it's clear the winger situation isn't working. All 4 of them are patchy, and none of them are a constant threat. Murphy plays shit but can get a goal or create one. Elanga looks pacy but mixed performances so far. Gordon cuts inside and shoots tamely from distance. It's all he's got, and now can't even do it properly. Finally the one trick pony in Barnes who is like a mix of Gordon and Murphy, but generally worse than both. So wingers aren't working and there's little upfront. He needs his midfield to step up but joelinton looks like he's 35 carrying a host of injuries and Bruno hasn't come to the party at all this season. Only Tonali has put performances in. I don't know what he does with all this. CL is going to kill this squad again, unfortunately. Least he is rotating more this time. Lessons learned, hopefully.
