  1. I bet if Liverpool win the league, Ashley has some sort of Sports Direct hijack strategy for the celebrations
  2. Times rich list say he has made 1.45 bn this year. Now 23rd richest man associated with Uk, and has overtaken Richard Branson
  3. Players do need a better, more structured way to be able to play away from being stuck in reserves. But I think there is a better way than outright B teams. Instead of that, there should be some sort of loan/draft system. Here is how it should work: Every PL club has to pay the Football Association a certain amount of money that is linked to: Club finances League position Number of games played by their English nationality academy products So Man City may have to give the FA 6 million, and Cardiff ( with some welsh rule exception), contribute £2m to the FA pot. All clubs must give a list of u21 English and Welsh nationals available for loan. Any player aged 19 - 21 that is not made available will be expected to play for the PL club, or sanctions apply. Clubs in the Championship clubs then submit a bid to the FA to receive a chunk of that pot. The FA gives the money out to teams based on their ability to take on and develop u21 loan players. So the winner of this contest gets first pick on the list of loan players and receive a larger chunk of money. This money is only paid however if the loan player plays (or gets injured). League One and Two clubs then get to pick players from these loan lists they would get less money but be allowed to loan more players. This works because it encourages lower league clubs to invest in coaching, selecting youth, and playing a better style of football, and disincentives clubs from holding onto young players they won't play.
  4. So he is hiding behind the team. Is he telling the players that we are booing him because of them?

    Shola Ameobi

    I will always love Shola
  6. I don't think the players had a problem. The hostility wasn't at them.
  7. Wtf does that mean? The prick can't even speak English ffs. He's saying that a small group of radicalised fans have spread a load of shit about him that have got other mainstream fans wound up.
  8. I'm fucking ecstatic with a good 3-0 win now after seeing how it all panned out. The protest went well and the message was loud and clear to all to see including Pardew. With a loss or draw, Pardew could simply blame recent results for fan behaviour and still say he can turn it around. But we won emphatically, and the fans still walked out on him and booed him. He can't hide, it is all about him now.

    Sunderland

I respect their run of form and recent performances and look forward to next years derbies
  10. Reckon he has gone home.
  11. We won which is good because Pardew has it the message, he can't hide from this. We have just given him his worst day of his life.
  12. Should be voted Newcastle player of the year. Would make a good point.

    Zoet or Forster

Supposedly these are the two keepers we are interested in if Krul leaves. Which would be your pick?
  14. We do need English players. We need 8 homegrown to fill out our squad. The lack of any means we have a smaller squad, so happy to sign him.
  15. I think he will go in the summer. It is clear to all that he has lost the dressing room and this won't be left to lie.
  16. So he is now a Director and on the Board. How will this be different to before. Odd that that would happen unless he plans to adjust his role.
  17. He has lost the dressing room.

    Sunderland

Player registrations are just really a money spinner for the FA. The Sunderland offence was trivial really, not realising they have to reregister a player if they come back from loan. It didn't really deserve a deduction, and had it happened the FA might find itself in a position where the monies from player registration were at risk.
  19. Who has an irrational hatred of Alan Pardew? No need to name names, as I'm sure they will see it differently. Just my subjective opinion after all.
  20. Likewise, I liked him for a long time and is undoubtedly the third best manager we have had in the 28 years of my life. But he seems to have cracked amongst all the madness, has perhaps lost the dressing room, lost the fans, and has to go. I don't have an irrational hatred for him like others do, I just think we need a new manager next season.
  21. He would be good for the team who owns him. It makes no sense that he and Courtois are not in their first team.
  22. I would say 4 comfortable wins plus a clutch of other wins is good going, especially given the off field strife. Only real discontent is the bummings and bad runs we've had.
  23. We will offer him a contract. It will be less than he is on at the moment, with no first team assurances. Lack of strikers and lack of English players make it the most cost effective option to maintain squad numbers. Shola will reject it, I think he is ready to move on.
  24. Well we did better than Spurs. We actually did rather well in Europa last season, a very pleasing campaign.
