  1. I know it is only wiki but it says that the Donestk owner is funding the Russian separatists in Ukraine. This is not someone we should be doing business with.
  2. Just putting it out there, but..... Donetsk is a city of East Ukraine on the side of the Russians. Given what has happened should we be doing any business whatsoever with such a club?

    Clément Grenier

I just don't trust the manager to find a way to fit so many central midfield players, especially when 2 are vice captains, 1 was his choice to sign, and 1 has been shunted to the wing.

    Loïc Remy

Don't think we will sign him unless he makes significant effort to force a move to be quite honest. QPR have themselves a ready made effective Premier League striker, why sell cheap if there is no clause?
  5. Usual plane crash protocols in place. Pretty much as soon as next of kin is identified they are given £5k just to tidy over immediate financial worries. The airline will pay full costs towards any repatriation of bodies and funerals. Further payments will be received before the final big payout. So no need to worry on the financial side, it is more the things that money can't buy that are important.
  6. I have a hunch that Mapou is still in with a chance. It is clear that unlike others such as HBA and Marveaux and Jonas, Pardew has not ostracised him, gave him 90 mins against Oldham and took him to New Zealand. All our Centre backs are presently available so that says a lot to me.
  7. Anita is a tidy player with a good passing range and good technique but the opposition aren't just going to bow down to that. Football matches are more often than not won because of the battles on the pitch. Say Newcastle vs Liverpool for example, Gerrard and Henderson vs Anita and Tiote is a crucial part of the game as both sets of players try to win the ball, keep the ball, and set a high tempo. Anita can pass the ball around well but doesn't cope with the pressure, the tempo and competitiveness of his opposite number. What it will take for him to have a successful career is to leave basically. I have no confidence that he can further develop in this country.
  8. Quite rightly in my opinion as at present although Anita has the greater ability he simply isn't working out for us, and won't while the status quo remains. Colback isn't as good but will be a better fit. How is Anita not working out for us? I always thinks he looks good in every position he's played Aye he is good at what he does on the ball but it isn't really getting us the results when he plays. He also lacks that competitiveness, and determination that a central midfielder needs to win the Battles you get in this division.

  10. MLS have some really handy loans also. Certainly a market worth looking at if the squad is a little short to deal with January to March.

    Yohan Cabaye retires

Cabaye has got it all wrong on Football Manager. He needs to sell himself, Tiote, jonas, cisse, obertan for as much as he can muster and then sign: Lambert Hughes Mayke Gaitan (loan) Matuidi (loan) Anderson (loan) Then watch lambert and gaitan partner each other perfectly to guide the team to league victory.
  12. Would probably put Colback waaaaay behind Sissoko in terms of ability. However whilst I don't doubt his effort and ability, Anita has been a chocolate teapot playing in our team in the PL. I think Colback is an upgrade there if we have to accept that the team is not going to change for Anita's benefit. We also have to remember that to have a full squad we need 8 homegrown players - the club are so limited in that respect that Ryan Taylor was in our registered squad last season! So players like Colback on a free are very handy to have.

Confirmed to have left the club. Liked the goals but I never really took to him. Bye

One of the greatest players to ever represent the club in European competition.

    Uruguay, u r a gay country.
  17. Tim Krul just posted on Facebook NUFC.com's transfer rumours list
  18. One area we did build a good youth development system was goal, from about 1998 to 2010 we had a top quality keeper (Given) an understudy of a standard and professionalism envied by most if not all PL clubs (Harper). We kept those keepers, developed those keepers and a succession plan was put in place so we had Krul to come in, and Forster came out of nowhere to become one of Britains best goalkeepers. The environment oif working day in day out with Given and Harper was of course of benefit to Krul and Forster but we also appointed some top quality keeper coaches like Barron and Sadler. Givens career met a natural end, but Barron and Harper both had a lot to offer and have been replaced by Woodman and Elliott. It was natural however that Forster left, but the golden era of goalkeepers grown and developed by NUFC is over and it is Parsew who has killed it.

    Kevin Keegan

Was chairman at Charlton for a bit
  20. Milner is such an underrated player
  21. Pardew would bottle the selection and bring four left backs wouldn't he
  22. 5 defenders but no room for Santon or Yanga-Mbiwa 4 defenders on the bench It is like the manager is scared.
