Seymour Pierce confirms Sirous as interested but downplays progress to date. Direct quotes from Mahjoob about his interest and his plans in Arabic press. No direct proof that Mahjoob is the man Llambias is talking about.

My main worry about Keegan himself is how the players will respond to him coming back after he left them and shatterred their confidence.

I've just had a look at the news agency. They look like a proper, controlled Iranian news source. Could see the plausibility in no-one except a fluent Arabic (Persian speaking) person being able to read it. A few select articles are translated over to the English version, hopefully they will do this.
