  1. Thing is, if we wanted the money and to keep Given, the club could have easily made £3-4m from Krul and Harper imo. Ultimately, I think the decision was made to sacrifice Given as he was becoming a negative influence at the club, and the board want Krul and Soderberg to make it, and Given was always going to be in the way of that. In other words, we were desperate to get rid imo.

Was down for ages. Both the main site and the forum. Message saying that the domain wasn't responding to the connection request.

Well I'd say from experience that Conference is better to watch than League 2, and will breathe fresh life into the clubs that go down, making most teams better in the long run.

Will they get points deducted for this?
  5. Worst name related insult since Pee-gan. Wierd having a casino manager in charge. Probably knows gambling is a disease.. Good point about his previous job. What ultimately is the difference between fleecing money out of deluded fools at a casino, and fleecing money out of deluded fools at NUFC?
  6. No I think it is down to Enrique's superior attitude.

    Aaron Spear

Seem to be quite a few players missing. Note that it is Krul's turn to play in reserves, so fitness permitting, Forster is on the bench for the first team next game.

Our record against the top six has so far been good though. Only Arsenal and Liverpool have beaten us. The bigger worry is the points we drop against our rivals, those so called six pointers. Only against West Brom have we really come out on top. Five of our remaining 12 games shall be against the top 5, and I can't see us recrreating positive results, then you've got the added confidence knockdown and our inferior performances in six-pointers as mentioned to worry about.
  9. Similar to NJS's criticism of Jonas in the match thread...with so many bad players in our squad, I find it weird how people are concerned about two of our better players in their respective positions. Left back and left wing are the least of our problems IMO, although it would be nice to have some back up for Enrique. I think we can get away with cover from Raylor if we strengthen other positions. I'd rather we signed a decent midfield than spunk good money on a full back. Is there any evidence to suggest Raylor makes a good left back? He seems decidedly right footed to me. Besides, we need him in midfield anyway. We are crying out for one or two central midfielders AND a left back for cover. Unfortunately, we've been saying this for the last two years; our "system" seems to unable or unwilling to deliver.. I think that the fact that he played left back a lot for Wigan is good enough to indicate that he can COVER Enrique. With Kadar and Bassong providing other alternatives, a penny spent on another left back, be it transfer or wages, is a penny wasted. Same goes for right back with Beye, Raylor and Saylor.

  11. Always get coolsmiley and rolleyes mixed up. I think we need a new smiley for when that kind of event happens.

Up from 9 to 8, we have made a move in the right direction, but now we've got some tough games coming up soon that could break confidence.
  13. What do you expect with ten men? Don't be silly, it was a good result and performance.
  14. Nice point. Would have taken it if offerred at start of game.
  15. Smith seems more lethargic than a team full of knackered players.
  16. Just under a third of Everton's goals have come in the last ten minutes.
  17. How long did it take Smith to fuck something up? Smith is one of the few not to give away a penalty this season. Butt down.
  18. I'm worried about Lescott going forward and taking advantage of our lack of numbers. Lovenkrands off for Smudge.
