I reckon I could do a better tactical job than the Nigerian manager.
-
According to the BBC squad selector, only four players in the Nigeria squad are midfielders.
-
Fair enough if thats the case. Still a bit of a cop out though if they are only backdating for qualifying nations (ie not England). Less money for us, plus more for someone else is harm if their is no justification.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7201098.stm So for David Rozehnal, we will receive £1000 per day he is on duty, while PSG receive £2000. That is just wrong, and I believe that we should challenge this ruling. Why should an ex-club receive compensation when it doesn't affect them?

I dont think Keegan made any real changes so far, I think he just removed some of the orders players had been given. For example, our centre backs were allowed to run with the ball, and our full backs were allowed to come forwards with the attack rather than waiting for the attack to move forwards and then joining it late on.

The sooner Nigeria are out, the sooner Martins comes back. Come on Nigeria!
-
At least three other strikers I'd play ahead of Martins tbh.

I'll bet you a tenner we do I've never bet more than a quid on anything I haven't won. Just be warned that when Keegan starts off transfer discussion by announcing that it is difficult to get players moving in January, and saying that he is only going to buy quality, you have to be a little cautious, because if worse comes to worse, there are going to be some very unhappy people on here, the way people are talking.
-
I'd say that there is a fairly good chance we don't sign anyone.

From the match thread which not many people read beyond a point: Quite interesting. Lends some support to those who felt that Roz did well on Saturday. Made a few really canny passes from distance. He was the least of our worries. Only Cacapa, Taylor, Duff, Owen and Shola passed the ball adequately for a player in their position then.

Shorey's name has just popped up. A very Keeganesque full back.
-
If we pulled that off, I would love to see the reaction of all the other fans.

Whereabouts in Africa are you from? The mental part where they all support Spurs. Tottenham Court Road?
-
Wouldn't say no to Nakamura.

This Premier League experience bit has turned into a bit of a misquoted myth. Keegan is looking for players who can come into the League and do a job straight away. Therefore, they dont have to have experience, just the attributes that makes Keegan believe that the player he brings in can have an immediate effect on the team.

The shirt quite clearly says Berbatov, and he looks quite happy about it. Gerrard having Charlton on a Man U strip is completely different from Berbatov having Berbatov on a Newcastle strip. You don't ever put your name on a shirt if you haven't wanted to play for that team. I've never had my name on a Spurs shirt, that is for sure.

I love how the Spurs fans know better about what he thought as a child than his own mother. I love how some Newcastle fans think they know more about the players I support weak in week out than I do. The media have been making up shit. A few weeks ago, his father came out saying he wanted to go to man utd. Then, his mother said he wanted to stay at tottenham. Then, his brother said he wanted to play for man utd. In comes his uncle, saying he does want to stay. Obviously not a very communicative family then. Surprise Surprise, every single one of the quotes turned out to be bullshit. Berbatov, who is usually a very quiet player, hardly does any interviews says he has to come out and stop all this crap becasue they are now fabricating quotes from his family. Not hard to see how that quote can be fabricated is it? Are you saying that Berbatov's Mum photoshopped that photograph?

A Division 2 club in their promotion season, a Division 1 club/Mid-table Premiership side, plus an unsuccessful England campaign. Yes they will know him, but the biggest pulling factor of Keegan is the good old days, and we may find that this pull has diminished in some demographics, particularly under-21 foreigners. We'll have to wait and see. As I asked before. How many U21 foreigners has KK ever signed though? Just the one for NUFC, but that is not to say that he won't want to get a high profile player in the future, as players are emerging at much younger ages than they did in the past, ie Rooney, Ronaldo, Fabregas. Exactly, he's never gone for young kids. Did you even read beyond the bit in bold?

Keegan’s pulling power is the way he talks to people and motivates them, what he did to the supporters at the press conference is what he does when he talks to players, you only have to listen to players he's signed in the past to know why they signed for him. Well I was responding to a post that said that Keegan's name alone would have strong pulling power abroad.

Be warned, there are now many players, particularly abroad that wont know a thing about Keegan's last spell at the club. His profile has diminished a bit since then. James, give your head a shake man. Really, Rozehnal said he didn't know much about Keegan. Rozenhal doesn't know too much about defending, in fact he doesn't really know much about football fullstop. Seriously though, say there is a 19 year old Frenchman out there, wanted by numerous clubs. His agent tells him he could work for Kevin Keegan at Newcastle United. Unless Keegan has turned us to gold again, I can't quite see Keegan having the same pull he once did, as such a player will have no knowledge of the great things he did.
