  1. Not always, as history has shown. And Chelsea have shown that it can sometimes. Sorry, don't understand what you are saying. Can you rephrase that?
  2. Not always, as history has shown.
  3. We are living off his other business interests. Mike Ashley not doing his maximum elsewhere is bad for us.
  4. To be honest, our board had been led down the Redknapp road by outside influences. Now they should have a chance to sit down and have a look to see what really good managers are out there. Chances are that the second choice may be the better choice because the sole influence is the manager's CV.
  5. This thread should have been started by Harry-Norway btw.
  6. To be honest, if you genuinely want the job, you aren't going to care about what choice you were.

  8. Can we not break some fuking major news like without it getting fuking merged after 2 fuking mins? I agree on this instance, for now anyway.
  9. Sorry, you were right. I was wrong.
  10. Bad news if the alternatives aren't good. There were some positives about Harry, like he had signed over the last couple of years players that we would have liked to have signed.
  11. Not being patronising, but I think you are fairly new here and havent sat through this forum during other periods of management change. Having watched the last three appointments, I have observed people reacting to changes of bookmakers odds, and after a while, you realise that these changes mean absolutely nothing. Nope, not patronising at all, just trying to get my head round it all, normally follow management changes via tv / websites but rarely on forums. To be honest, my main obsession with the gambling sites at the moment is a strong belief that if you react to breaking news you can make a lot of money. Having sat and watched Betfair basically solidly for the last 3 days i am learning a lot about how the market works and i have been doing similar for other clubs, albeit with less interest as i don't follow them. Whilst tipping someone to take the job is always conjecture and will often be wrong, when odds fly away from someone more often than not that means that there is something in it. I understand your scepticism and maybe you can educate me by telling me all the managers that have come following their odd flying out when they were previously favourites. That's a genuine question, i'm here to learn as much as i can to be honest! Cant really recall people whose odds have gone out, I always remember those ones that have gone in and caused a frenzy such as Hoddle, Jones, Houllier, O'Neill, Le Guen, and this other German manager that wasn't Hitzfeld.

For the odds to go out that much someone must know something.. like it or not bookies arent daft! Someone says that every time, yet in reality, nothing has changed most ofthe time.

  14. Bookies odds are speculation. Not reality. If you believed the bookies, we would have been managed by Glenn Hoddle and Dave Jones.
  15. Hadaway and bollocks man. Unlucky with his bosses thats all. He isn't a yes man either which is good. How would you know like? Because of his reason for quitting Boro. Southgate wasn't listening to his opinion, so he quit. If his opinion is anything like every single side he's coached, I'm not bloody surprised. He is more gung-ho and attacking minded than his managers. Middlesbrough's run in UEFA was inspired by Round talking McClaren into that multiple striker fest. Shame he didn't do the same for England I think Terry Venables made Round obsolete at England.

  17. Kemsley is a lot lot more experienced than Ashley and Mort when it comes to football. His advice could especially be appreciated when Ashley is out of the country. yeah thats right ,he's out of the country so uncontactable ? kemsley may have been in the football game longer but its a business aswell Whether he's contactable is irrelevent. The fact is that the club have an extra pair of eyes and ears to take in and analyse every detail as events unfold.

  20. Steve Round....seriously. One of the best young coaches around, yet is very experienced. Enthusiastic and has a modern approach.

  22. Aren't bookmakers still taking bets for Redknapp? That is weird considering how quickly bets were closed for previous NUFC managers. Its almost as if people could be sent down a blind Redknapp alley at the bookies.
