Well, fuck you, Harry.

Skirge is off his box today.

Chill out, man. It's just a vague rumour that will almost certainly turn out to be incorrect.

I'd rather jack than Fleetwood Mac.

Ashton is class, imo, but a total crockjob. If we could guarantee his fitness, he'd be an immense player for us. We really can't take on any more injury-prone players, though.

'For Garrincha was an alcoholic.' Was this written by Alan Oliver?

There's no such thing as a good inconsistent centre back.

How he can be a Premier League footballer is beyond me. I play football with some of biggest football spazzos in Tyne and Wear and none of them would make that mistake.

I diagree with this, tbh. Whenever I've seen him drop deep and receive the ball, he's looked composed, tidy and and creative. I think if he did more of it, the Newcastle fans would warm to him a bit more and all he tends to do now is mooch around the box without seeing the ball for 15 minute spells. In what way creative? Seriously can't remember him creating a thing, picking out a incisive pass or what ever. He's tidy aye, that's the least you'd expect. Not really a dig, it's just not his game. OK. Creative was an exagerration, but his hold-up play is very good. Like I said, it wasn't a dig, it was more of a counter to suggestions he could play in the withdrawn striker role as was mooted. Can't see him doing much there. I agree with that, really, but he could get more involved in the game. He best performances for us, I think, have been when he's held the ball up and laid it off. When he plays this 'poacher' role, and doesn't get a sniff all match, it's a bit like playing with the invisible man out there.

Deco, man, he's in the bag.

One positive is that we actually played better in the second half. Big Sam's teamtalks usually had the same effect that poking a balloon with a pin has.

Andy Dunn's "opinion" from the NOTW. I use the word "opinion" loosely, since that word suggests to me that it is somehow worthy of listening to/reading/not spitting on. Not quite as hate filled as his rant from a fortnight on, but the bloke is clearly a prize arsehole. I think it's nearly time for "Jose Enrique is shite" to be officially added to the list of shit cliches that lazy journalists who can't be arsed to do their job properly will use to pen an NUFC article. True like. The number of times I've heard it trotted out it seems that Enrique is easily worst defensive buy of all time. Even when he hasn't been all that, he's never turned in some of the shocking performances of Rozehnal who seems to have got off lightly in comparison.

Not that this really belongs in here, but did anyone sees Robert's cross for Derby on MOTD? Great cross out of nothing. Reminds me of when he used to put in great crosses from near the halfway line! Unbelievable left foot.

Christ. Don't say that; you'll see Parky in there this time next week.

That's the way I see it. We played much better, we tried to get it down and pass it, we had a lot of posession but lacked penetration. In 3 fucking days, that's quite an improvement, tbh.

I think he's been shite since joining us, but has look brighter this season. Maybe Keegan can do something with him.

A fairly negative thread, tbh. However, I particularly liked SUPERTOON's contribution: what a shocking game - surely it can only get better i was expecting ths type of game Keegan may have returned but the players are still rubbish - we really need a win on this one otherwise we are in a relegation battle especially with our games coming up - this team really needs some work - 'Can't see us scoring tbh' agreed the relegation threat looms large - we would be getting booed if playing like this with Sam in charge - this is truely awful - better get spending - wish someone would score this is sooooooooo boring - we are not going to score and we are in a relegation battle KK needs to start spending and soon - 'Should have scored ameobi' The worst player at the club - just shows how bad these players really are other than Zoggy and Given wouldnt care if the rest left - said it as soon as the bolton pre match thread was made we are rubbish no matter who our manager is - not in the near future and we are now in a serious battle to avoid relegation

Got to love how often Zog loses the ball by dribbling into players. People gave Nicky Butt stick for losing the ball, but Zog must do it just as often.

Shola to bag a hat-trick. Nailed on.

He is, but Zimbabwe didn't qualify for the ANC.
