Final score's going to be about 11-9.

Hmmm... We've just lost the match in a minute.
-
Man Utd look nowt special at all on this evidence.
-
Not really and no reason to dismiss his opinion out of hand.
-
That's bad news for Given. More investigation/surgery required?
-
Seriously hope this comparison is a wind up I thought we were all doing rather well to ignore it, tbh.

Completely idiotic, so probably deserves that. The ban is by far the worse punishment.

Whether or not they are whinging twats has nowt to do with whether their bodies need a rest or not. It's stands to reason that a player can only perform to his best over a limited number of games per week. You can't tell me a player is going to perform at the same level if he's playing every night to the same player playing only once a week?

Where did Martins play at Inter? Was he always CF or did he ever play wide?
-
Surely they are both hard jobs in different ways? If being a top footballer was a piece of piss, we'd all be doing it. I'm not really sure what point Gibson was trying to make: the strain a footballer puts on his body is surely a hell of a lot more than your average labourer, isn't it?

He's always got the 'reverse jinx' defense.

In an attempt to pressurise and blackmail UEFA?

I just hope we just go all out for the win. Big Sam's been too cagey. We have home advantage, let's go at them from the off. If it fails, it fails, but the more defensive formations we've tried out have hardly been a rip-roaring success.

Never claimed it wasn't hard work, Keefaz. Just commented (albeit sardonically) that it must be very stressful being a highly paid footballer and all that... Didn't really mean you, GM. Just these things you hear bandied about. It may be true that a footballer would struggle doing a 14-hour shift in a plant, but how many plant workers could last even 10 minutes of a PL match?

And that building on Westgate Road, I believe.
-
I don't think they play too much, but to say a Premier League game isn't hard work is just idiotic.
-
You don't think rising wages mean rising ticket prices, then?
-
Another good point, I like that feature. It's pleasant to stare out if the game is shit. Went with an Arsenal supporter to the Arse match last season and he spent more time looking at the city than the match. That was a shit match, though.
-
I have no idea what you just said. Are you saying John Terry's a cunt?
-
The wages are too high, I think. The only way clubs can pay them is through massive debt, howking up prices, etc. I don't think it's sustainable.
-
It's wrong to focus on individual players and say their wages are obscene as if it's their fault. Salaries are ridiculous but the focus needs to be on the clubs.

Should have a look in there more often...

Dunno what they're doing with that building specifically but they're redeveloping that whole Pilgrim St area soon, it fucking needs it as well, it's a shithole down there. The fire station is closed now in preparation. Aye, I have my fears about that, but Pilgrim Street is such a shithole they probably couldn't make it any worse.
