Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)
Benwell Lad replied to a topic in Football
as posted in the "Twitter" thread but probably more relevant here :- I think there is some mild hysteria regarding his start to the season. From what I've seen he hasn't been brilliant but hasn't been all that bad either. Just typical start of season stuff really. But for a superb last minute save by the Villa keeper the masses may have been talking about his "fantastic" start to the season. -
It's not shocking because we already knew most the cryptic bullshit he's posted. We know that the club has a strict transfer policy that means we will only do deals on our terms. It hasn't changed since Keegan left because that was the bloody plan, with Carr as a much more capable version of Dennis Wise and Pards as Keegan, albeit with more clarity over his exact role in the whole transfer business. I've no doubt Pardew wanted more players and some of the squad are a bit miffed we haven't spunked cash up the wall. I've no doubt Wraith has heard a few whispers about this from his 'sources' and decided that it was his duty to tweet about the HUGE unrest enveloping the NUFC camp (and that these tweets have absolutely nothing to do with attracting an audience for his fanzine, match day bar venture, boxing promotions or books about the Kray twins). I've also no doubt this will blow over in a few weeks time if we pick up a few wins. As for Cabaye, if he hadn't had a shaky start brought on by the fact he's sitting deep in a midfield four because Tiote is injured, he's been crocked himself this preseason and just came off what was an 11 month season we'd not be pissing worrying. The idea that he's in a girly huff because we didn't sign Debuchy (which is something I've seen floated a million times this summer) is absolutely mental, considering not 12 months ago he gladly fucked off over the channel away from him and spent an entire season playing like he was having the time of his life. Bang on. I think there is some mild hysteria regarding his start to the season. From what I've seen he hasn't been brilliant but hasn't been all that bad either. Just typical start of season stuff really. But for a superb last minute save by the Villa keeper the masses may have been talking about his "fantastic" start to the season.

£45 for an away end ticket for what is effectively going to be a midweek reserve fixture and is live on TV really illustrates the insanity of present day football and how the poor old loyal football supporter has the piss taken out of him/her by certain clubs. Hope everyone just boycotts it and spends the money on 3 X home tickets for Bordeaux and takes along two friends or family for what will be a much better game anyway.

12 premier league games without a win and their contraversial left winger offending all and sundry on social media sites at every opportunity. Lets party with Marty !

Enjoy every minute you can watching Colo. Central defenders like him don't come along very often.

The oafish rabble down the road seem to think that Ryan Taylor has only ever scored one direct free kick. They have somehow failed to notice that goals from "over the wall" free kicks have become his career trademark.

Excellent yesterday. Showed his versatility by changing roles and turning in a first class performance.

Not on twitter and don't really read up on this stuff but what the fuck is he thinking? Drop Ben Arfa? Our only creative threat, our best passer and most mobile and athletic player at the moment? What an absolute waste of time some people's opinions are The only negative about playing Ben Arfa is that it deprives you of Ben Arfa the ultimate impact sub

No, no they dont. Dunno like. Kieran pronounced with a macum accent is pretty scary.

Interesting, how would you rate Beardsley in comparison? Different of course, and it is difficult to compare players who both have sublime and unique talent. Saying what I said is in no way meant to be detrimental to players like Beardsley, Gazza, Tony Green, Ginola etc, who were of course wonderfully gifted footballers, but I just think that HBA takes it to an even higher level as far as natural ability is concerned. It's like he's a magician at times, doing things which are not really possible.

Trying not to make big irrational statements and being aware that the present can be a lot clearer than the past, but I'm now going to say it. In my opinion, and I realise many others will disagree, over decades of watching Newcastle United, Hatem Ben Arfa is the most talented player I have seen in our shirt. Previously I would have said Gazza.

Truly phenomenal. Especially considering most left sided players use their right foot for little more than standing on.

Gaël Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis

Has a lot of prescence and awareness for one so young. Stepped up to the PL plate almost effortlessly. He is going to be a very good player. -
Another typical Sunderland day against Swansea, have read several sources saying that they are playing Marty's unique brand of anti-football again. No ambition at all and trying to clog anyone from the opposition who does show any. Speaking of Ziff, it seems he has picked up where he left off behaving like a tramp on speed on the touchline and trying to influence officials at every opportunity. It really is about time he was charged with bringing the human race into disrepute. To round things off the low lives who seem to have taken over the support of that once proud club loudly booed off an opposition player who was being stretchered off with what is a season ending injury. What a squalid little club they are.

Brilliant draw. Maritimo - pilots used to have to have a special licence to fly into Funchal due to difficult landing approach - is it stil the same - could put flights at a premium ?

Atromitos were better than I expected, I've seen worse PL teams at SJP. Enjoyed watching Marveaux, Bigi and other fringe players and thought Obertan was our most positive player. He's a bit like the old Churchillian Russian saying about puzzles/enigmas etc. I'm sure there's a decent player in there and the pace he has could be utilised very positively if he gets his thought processes sorted.

Especially after the cash turnstiles last night.

Must be horrible being a macum on European cup draw days..................................there again must be horrible being a macum every day of your life.

Many thanks, so worse case scenario and all teams with higher coefficient than us go through, we should still get pot 3? T be honest, pot 2 doesn't look too frightening Careful. As Sir Bobby once said "if you count your chickens before they hatch you may not end up with your eggs all in one basket" Or something similarly muddled

Brilliant read. No doubt it will be instantly dismissed by macums blinded by the the glow of their love affair with Marty. The same type of love they had for Keane and Bruce before him. Must say I was worried that they'd go for a Lambert/Rodgers/Adkins type appointment when they binned Brucie. Delighted when they went down the Marty path.

Santon too, plus compared to last year Perch has undergone a Superman transformation program succesfully. That said, whilst the transfer window (providing there are no more changes, incoming or outgoing) has not been the unmitigated disaster some on here would have you believe, we could and perhaps should have done better. Yup and hopefully nothing negative happens in the next 30 hours or so. Good point about Perch, he was excellent last season and the greatest compliment he can be paid is that he almost meant we didn't miss Colo against Spurs. He will cover several positions this season and must be a great lad to have around the club. Just hope the scousers (or macums) aren't lining up a £20M bid for him

You bet. It always ends in tears down there, this time it could be terminal.
