Total embarrassment for the EPL, litter problem, pink seats and now this. Should be seriously punished by the League, FA, government, EC, UN etc etc. Madras.

Much more of this mirth on RTG. They're the rivals who just never stop giving (us laughs) as we pass time on a wet Saturday afternoon waiting for our game to kick off ;D . Stewards outside ticket office telling people no refunds, apparently the ticket office has run out of cash, and not refunding cards either. Kicking off! Once inside, people are getting refunds, and the tills are stuffed with money. Chaos.... Read more: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=725475&page=13#ixzz24Z98zVR0

ha syour back garden got room for 12000 empty seats? Said for ages that they'd be best off re-locating to the Darlington Arena. Nice modern facility, built by a cheerful extrovert macum and they'd be able to get it close to full sometimes. They could keep the SoS for the music concerts and the annual fixture against the only team who can ever fill the place.
-
Macums abusing and threatening each other as they offer differing opinions on the "Great flood of Sunderland" debate and who's to blame for the debacle. It could only happen with those inbreeds.
-
Could be down to the present owners wishing to make the venue primarily a music arena and neglecting the football side of things, pitch etc.
-
Indeed it is. Also nice that they supply free tickets for their sparcely populated stadium to unwilling disinterested schoolkids, students, tramps etc during these testing economic times, while bigger more arrogant clubs expect people to pay to watch their sold out games.

Just makes the bile laden jealousy, gnashing of teeth, crying and infighting so much funnier when it all inevitably goes wrong. They'll never learn.

At the end of the day they've made what are totally predictable Arty Ziff signings. British based, and through necessity to get them to play in the dump, overpriced and on hugely inflated salaries. Fletcher is an OK forward but with too many relegations on his CV and Johnson can be brilliant on occasions but is ultimately an "itty-bitty" player with questionable attitude who has become used to getting paid for doing very little. Our present player recruitment team wouldn't have touched either with a barge pole. I don't see any significant leap forward in their prospects/progress with these two players on board but really start to wonder how a club with such a low matchday turnover (free tickets etc) can sustain it's manager's spending policy in the longer term. No doubt they are now going to hammer us in the derby matches (see previous season's August macum bravado - yawn) In Keano Brucie Marty we trust. FTM.

Anyone else hear some idiot on the radio last night who said he thought Newcastle fans were "deh-loo-shin-ull" for expecting a decent season and then stated that he had placed a bet on Sunderland to finish in the top six !! Yes that's the same Sunderland who are managed by the odious Artie Ziff, who is presently doing a half decent impression of someone who's actually interested in his job, were one of the worst teams in the PL league last season and appear to be going backwards at present. Said idiot then went on to say that Sunderland had a better team than Newcastle but just hadn't got the players in yet I blame the government for letting them back out into the community and giving them access to telephones.

Not entirely enjoying life on wearyside but is well paid to put on a brave face.

Short memory there marra...... He snapped Tiote in half after 0.079 seconds and subsequently bossed the derby. Also getting sent off after the final whistle, missing 4 games through sheer idiocy and kicking f*ck out of a few Renault Clios on Stowell Street means legend status on wearside. Pyewa legend. For me. Like. Spot on there marra. Best car vandal in the Premier League. 1-9. FTM. In MON we trust.

Jinky, Tony Green, Gazza, Ben Arfa - we could argue away and wax lyrical all night long. It's great that one of them is present here and now. Ben Arfa playing just makes any game more enjoyable for me.

You say that, but do you think there are 6 teams that we have absolutely no chance of finishing above? I think 6th or 5th is perfectly achievable tbh. Also, last years premise was laughed at by many for being exceptionally hopeful. The whole purpose is that it should be a fight for x position, rather than something easy to achieve. I was tempted to make it a battle for 5th more than 7th. No not really. Anything is possible, although my bet would be 6th or 7th and I'd be very satisfied with that. Perhaps I need to read it more carefully but taking Spurs and Liverpool out of the teams we don't need to beat really makes it the battle for 5th. Anyway, the target is to some extent irrelevent, we could make it 1st or 10th, whatever. I'd adopt the manager type stance and set the bar low to make sure we don't fail
-
Lucky enough to have seen them both. He's better than Tony Green
-
Thanks and well done for taking it on. I must say however that the original premise of 7th is more realistic for us and will ultimately be more enjoyable in it's achievability.
-
Was surprised they signed him permanently rather than following their recent policy of loaning players who are not quite good enough to get a game for their own clubs. Then I realised he didn't have a club.

Still think those tipping the macums for mid table mediocrity are being pretty generous. With the exception of the normal post managerial change phase, which included an amazing amount of luck, they spent most of last season looking like real relegation material. If anything they've got worse and I'm not convinced that Artie is completely happy there, which will transmit through to the players. Snap them up now for relegation - when you can still get tens or better - is my tip.

Nice touch by your club. I'm sure those who make it here will enjoy our city and hospitality. I would love to see the game in Athens in your small suburban stadium. Even in these tough times it is still one of the best cities on earth with lots to see and do, generally warm friendly people and wonderful food. I'm sure all our fans who travel will have a great time.

MON should show some leadership and have a word with the Derryphant man. Going out of your way to publicly offend the people of the country in which you earn a very good living is not very bright.
-
Not bothered marra. Pissy little competition we wouldn't be interested in anyway. 1-9. FTM.

Surprised Ashley didn't insist on it being called the Sports Direct Arena as part of the Carroll transfer package. He'd have probably got away with it at the time.
-
Anyone know the best available odds for them to be relegated ?
-
Sammy. Have to admit this pisses me off a bit as well, ironically enough it seems to be his second name that makes people think he's ready. Really meant in the sense that he likes to get straight at full backs and take them on. We are blessed with several players who can dribble in tight situations. Funny word "dribble" - it's almost as if it was created for Rowan Atkinson to use in a Blackadder episode.
-
Hatem, Jonas, Marveaux, Sammy. Full backs are in for a hard time against us this season.
