I don't think we will get much less for Lascelles in January than we would now but Murphy could get some consistent game time before being 4th/5th CB here. Thats discounting Krafth but who knows when he will be back and what shape he will be in. I refuse to consider Dummett being given a PL squad place.

Think thats harsh. By all accounts he seems well liked He had an awful run of injuries and things just not going right for him. He seems a total confidence player and one that has been totally lacking it for most of his time here. He just looks scared and error prone every time he plays. Needs a run of games which we could never afford him, just to get confidence back and his body used to the rigours of the game. A season loan somewhere is the least he needs. I don't see him turning it around. That said many would have said the same about Joey and I thought the same about Murphy too.

Looks so composed for his age. With Willock, Bruno, Tonali, Longstaff, Joelinton we are very healthy in CM. Anderson and Miley could be excellent emergency depth this year. Then maybe send at least one out in January if we have a chance to bring another DM or AM in. Signs look good we wont necessarily need to bring another CM in though.

Granted we are missing a good handful of players but this is the current squad reality if we have a bad run of luck with injuries. Miley and Anderson look like good depth options and worth keeping to January. Murphy has looked solid since coming on too.

Not too sure on that. Different players with different attributes. Barnes is definitely a 30-40m player in today's PL market. ASMs injuries has seen his stock plummet. It's probably a better long term benefit for Howes system and team getting Barnes but most fans will always take a get out of your seats showboat skillful player over a get the job done goal scorer like Barnes.

It's reported he already knocked a Saudi approach back. If he doesn't want to go there it could drag, especially if there is another club in Europe interested that he or his agent fancies more. I hope the rest or your post is accurate. I'm sure, as you say, we will want to move on as quick as possible.
