WTF Why the hell is Willock off. Absolutely has to be precautionary because he was one of two positives in the first half. Absolutely flumoxed.

We have been inconsistent and dropping points needlessly for much longer.

Its an easy narrative but the Bournemouth downfall is similar. Bournemouths defence was hailed and sought after before it crumbled and ultimately cost Eddie his job. Our coaching team HAS to adapt and improve our players mentalities or they are going.

Tino instantly improves us but really we have been at near full strength for a while. At least the same as an average PL squad. We preached hard about how squad depth hurt us last time in a CL season. We addressed that. This run of games shouldn't have been a surprise. The excuses are thin. Good teams evolve and adapt. We have been static and lost so many points through inflexible decision making tactically. We looked drained of all confidence. Hall and Willock looked positive. Thats about it.

Part of the media have already pointed to it. Almost like they push Eddie to the brink rather than back him sometimes. Making him prove himself and get the best out of what he has. On one hand its fair with the amount he spent in the summer. Getting the best out of the players he has is why he was hired and what he prides himself on. On the other there is obviously doubt and frustration from above and it seems like a passive aggressive message, not for the first time. I dont think that ends well for Eddie. If we dont go to a cup final or finish in Europe he is getting canned imo.

Maybe the most important half time team talk Howe has to make this season.

Essentially this, although Eddie has maintained several times since him leaving that he didnt want to sell him. On the upside he would keep Alex Murphy and Woltemade company as players that wont fit Howes system. His league output since leaving is essentially the same as every season with us isnt it? A handful of goals, a handful of assists and around 20-30 appearances. Seems pretty consistent when I checked transfermarkt. Dont see him returning though.
