Did a bit of rumour reading Looks like we are piggy in the middle. He seems to want back to West Ham, Manure won't let him go there as they are rivals and it could cost them Europe if he does well there again. He is out of contract in the summer and won't be re-signing. We might benefit though by getting him on loan late in in window if they don't come to an agreement with West Ham. Surely better getting some wages off the bill as they are losing him in the summer for nothing one way or another.

If Botman is the player we want to build our defence around for the next half decade or more then no harm waiting to the summer imo. A young defender from another league/country that will come with a ton of pressure and expectation on his shoulders is probably not a priority right now. If we can get a player like that for a better price now then sure I get it but I'd rather we get an experienced for sure bet to keep us up. We could easily break a young potential player right now...or maybs make one. It's a gamble.

I think if that was a goer he would be coming in. For a big fella he is also deceptively quick. 5th or 6th quickest in the Bayern squad which is pretty impressive considering who they have.

Don't have a problem with fans being upset. We would be the same if the shoe was on the other foot. At the same time I have no problem with us playing the system if that's what we have done. They should have just cancelled all or none. Just another of the endless list of inconsistencies within the league. Not really sure what Southampton think they will achieve with an appeal. Larin was always an out and out striker in Orlando and upon arriving in Turkey. He seemed to have imploded there, didn't really hit the ground running but also didn't get a fair shake. lost his place and it took a loan to get his goal scoring touch back in Belgium. Last season was the revelation though, being pushed out wide completely rejuvenated him. He has become a completely different animal and his all round game is infinity better for it. He always had a nack for scoring goals and being in the right place at the right time (other than a torrid spell for Canada, prior to Davies, David, Arfield, Hoilett etc. Coming on board, when the weight of the nation was unfairly on his shoulders). In many ways his all-round play for the team is better than David's imo. Could see him being useful on the right of a top three and possibly through the middle. He would be a great cheap addition for cover. Unlike David I am not sure Larin will develop more but who knows. He is still young for a striker.
