Not that far off an Aarons return either. Almost completely forgotten about him. We actually have depth if Aarons can miraculously stay fit.

Think Mbemba works best with a leader and experience next to him. We have a young pool of CB's really. No doubt of Chancels talent though. Rafa will rotate them out again soon enough, it is up to Mbemba to seize the chance and play his way back in after that.

Classic.

Should hope so given their history together.

Still think he is the best of our four. Hope he works his way back in there. All that said, Clark and Lascelles look solid so far so hard for him to do so. Think he got rested and then Clark just looked better when he came in so its a waiting game for the Chancellor.

Looks great for us. Needs to cut out a few stupid errors but in general starting to become the player we thought he could be. Deserves the love he craves at the minute.

What's he done now? Absolutely nothing, he was very effective when he came on, should have started, him and Gayle up front and we would have won by a few. Effective, he did nothing of note and give it away a few times. I guess its just a case of whether the glass is half-full or half-empty. I saw him, as the lone outfield player, successfully maintain possession through clever use of the ball several times. I focused on that and you apparently focused on the times he couldn't do that through being surrounded or vastly outnumbered. But your attitude is so very different to what it was a year or two ago, I can't be the only one who sees that. You appear so cynical and negative in many of your posts and I don't know what has happened to you to change you so much. Having one of the biggest wum's on the board jump in agreeing with you doesn't actually enhance your case. (Well that's a f***ed up quote, sigh) Sorry but I'm sick of the hype mitro gets for the little output he delivers. Shola at the same age was a better player and prospect imo. I'm sick of the stick Mitro get for doing absolutly nothing wrong, in limited outings, because of people's pre-defined opinions. He's a £13m striker. I expect far more from a target man. He was on the pitch for 10 minutes. You had a go at him against Norwich too despite him playing a massive part in both goals to win us the game. I get it like, we all have players we irrationally hate, but he doesn't deserve this at all. Thought he looked decent today tbh Thought he had some great flickons and gave us a target man for the mainly longball football we decided to play.

- Diame, Colback and Dummett had a poor first half but were all much better in the 2nd. - Atsu and Clarke were big plusses and a special mention to Darlow, other than a couple of awkward clearances, looked assured. Atsu didn't look fucked but realise he is behind everyone else in terms of fitness. Would have liked to see him stay on and Ritchie on the left. - Gayle and Gouffran didn't impact the game much but we didn't really make plays for them, especially in the first half. - Shelvey was great bar a couple of silly give aways. - Overall we simply just have to be more clinical. How many matches is it now we have had double or triple the amount of shots but concert 1 out of 19 today.. bah. Also I am all for mixing it up with play along the turf and a few long balls. It makes sense. But we tend to hit brainless long balls too often. Our final ball in the first half especially was pathetic. The second half was much better but we had no-one that could finish. The antithesis of the past.

Atsu a shining light, Dummet, Diame and Colback shining shite. Looked much better after the goal. All our play has been down the right after about the half our mark. Gouffran might as well have not been on the pitch. He was ok before that though. Our final balls are atrocious. Too much hit and hope. We look far better and superior passing it around rather than punting it.

Exactly. Idealistically sure, realistically Howe is the only Englishman I would consider and I think it would be a potential disservice to him and his career to become England Coach right now. He would certainly bring a freshness to the set up which is absolutely needed. Otherwise it is just groundhog day. I hope we persuade Wenger to take it, hope the same in the summer too. He would at least bring some class back to the position which I can't even remember when we last had.
