    Hyypia in Toon?

you can have him, before long we'll be able to buy everyone we want and those we don't want, everyone who plays the game, has ever played the game and will ever play the game. (sorry folks,i went to white hart lane a few years back and i think the effects are just hitting me now) Very good. Are you sure it was WHL, and not the SoL? As a lot of our fans seem to be thinking of those lines at the moment due to the Keane effect.

    Hyypia in Toon?

Heard on Sun-Fm (so I doubt it's true) today that Sunderland are in for him, for around £1.5M. While I think his experience would be very useful, such was Bould's all those years ago, £1.5M does seem a bit steep for a 33year-old in my opinion. They also said that shoudl he be forced out he may prefer a move to Sunderland due to Newcastle turning him down about 12 years ago, I don't think that many people are that bitter though.
  4. I thought Reo-Coker was a fantastic little player at Wimbledon, along with a few of the youngsters they had at the time (most notably Jobi McAnuff). However he's seemingly gone off the boil at West Ham. But I recokon that could well be down to whom he spends his time with from the club, as seen with the 'Bentley Boys' story a while back. I think a move away from London would do him the world of good, and help him find the form his promise at Wimbledon led me to believe he could reach.
  5. The home kit isn't released until a month after the away one, so I get the feeling they will still be working on it. I don't like the away kit that much though, but the keeper kit is quite nice: http://www.safc.com/uploads/images/may_07/safc_1180081208_ward2.jpg That looks shit, whys he wearing england shorts? edit: also, who the fuck are your players! i've never seen them before Well the away kit model is Dean Whitehead, and the keeper is Darren Ward. The shorts are poor I agree, but the top itself is ok.

  7. Ohh, my prediction that Pompey will go down could come true. Ha'way Herman make it five relegations from the Premiership lad. I always thought he was a fairly competent defender so I was suprised to find he's been relegated 4 time from the Premiership the other week. Pompey seem to have a decent squad but are terrible every time I see them. Quite bizzare actually. Quite close to signing Sulley Muntari as well last I heard, he would be a hell of a signing in my opinion.

    Newcastle youngsters

Well Krul definatley looks like he has great potential and he seems to highly rated by many on here as well. One to keep as a long term replacement for Given it would seem.

    Newcastle youngsters

From what I've seen Tim Krul looks like a fantastic talent. All I've seen was your game away at Palermo this season tbh. It was him in goal as well wasn't it?
  12. I reckon Milan will go through now. Only need a 1-0 or 2-1 win in Milan, they should get that. Didn't Man Utd go out of the CL in Milan a couple of years ago?

  14. How about Kingsley Black Steve Phillips Vitālijs Astafjevs Sergei Baltacha These are too random. Who?! Kingsley Black - One of Grimsby's finest midfielders of the 90's Steve Phillips - Ex- Bristol City keeper, I think he's at Bristol Rovers now. Vitālijs Astafjevs - Used to play at Bristol Rovers Sergei Baltacha - Played for Ipswich and a few teams in Scotland iirc. I take a bit too much interest in lower league football if I'm honest.

  17. Also scored the winner in the FA Cup at SJP IIRC You must really love Ian Woan. Talking about Woan, he was the first Corinthian figure I bought. Unbelievably sad that I remember that I know. Brings back painful memories of Wembley, but Mendonca is a Sunderland fan so he was forgiven pretty early on by me. Fenton is a Geordie but i'll never forgive him. I suppose what followed after those players had scored their goals also changes perspective. After Fenton's goal Newcastle went badly downhill. While after Mendonca's goals led to Sunderland being as stong as they have ever been imo, for 3 seasons anyway. Anyway, Iain Dowie
