Legend Absolute Shite. We got mugged on that deal - Swap for Nicky Summerbee wasn't it? Aye, Summerbee was the best right winger we've had in years. Although he looked lazy at lot of the time, that was just his posture. Could put in a fantastic cross that lad, and skinned many a left back with ease. Russell was a legend, as he scored against Sheffield United with about 5 minutes left, in a game about 11/12 years ago now, which helped to keep us up. Plus I find that most fans have a soft spot for most of the home grown players that make it up through the ranks and into the first team. Didn't do much at Man City though. Did alright for St. Johnstone when he went up to Scotland for a while though. Simon Tracey

Not Hetzke, bought in 86 sold in 87. Terrible defender.

We signed the U Boat in 1989 but he did stay till 92 so I reckon he could just be counted.

Whatever happened to him,he was at your lot wasnt he SAFC? Aye he had a 6 game loan spell, from Man Utd, in the same season as Given did at Roker. He wasn't owt special but he got 1 or 2 assists if I recall rightly. Last I heard he was playing in America after a spell in the lower divisions. Brett Angel Phil Gray Martin Smith Kim Helsingborg Dariuz Kubicki Steve Agnew Sam Aiston. footballers ? Harsh man, very harsh. We got Aiston from you lot as well. In fact all the rest bar Helsingborg played at least a season at Sunderland, and they weren't that bad (well apart from Brett Angel). phil gray was a cracking bloke Yeah? I remember him most for scoring a brilliant 40 yard volley away to Grimsby many moons ago. Ah, memories. i remember him on the quayside telling us why he wouldn't live in sunderland.don't worry mate not a mindless slagging off, took the piss out of toon fans aswell but hammered sunderland as a place. I don't blame him Sunderland is a shite place, although slowly improving. Probably why he buggered off to France even though we'd just been promoted.

I'm not bothered in the slightest. As I said in the other thread, there as very little difference between her and most of the male commentators in my opinion.
-
Sounded no worse than most of the male commentators in my opinion, apart from the fact that her voice went a bit higher when there was an opportunity. But I personally don't see what all the fuss was about in the first place.
-
I don't agree with Keane's comments in the slightest, but Colchester have a home record akin to that of Man Utd. Not too shameful to lose there in my opinion. You think Chelsea would lose at Colchester? Nope but then again I don't think Sunderland could beat Chelsea. Did you think Boro would draw at Man Utd today? Sunderland aren't a good side, they just aren't as bad of the rest of them in the Championship. Colchester have a near impeccable home record and I expected Sunderland to go there and lose today.
