  1. Qpr beating stevenage 1-0. Ramage having a nightmare. Crowd giving him hell!
  2. From tommorows Sun... Real Zaragoza’s PABLO AIMAR is convinced he can make a big impact on the Premier League. Newcastle, in talks with his agents last night, are hoping to finalise a £7m deal for the Argentinian. Aimar, 28, said: “I do not think I would have a problem adapting to the Premiership.” Ummm....yeah.

    Nigel De Jong

Haha, I didn't even notice how they worded that.

    Nigel De Jong

KEVIN KEEGAN is holding talks aimed at landing Holland star Nigel De Jong for £3million. The Newcastle manager wants to strengthen his squad — and Hamburg’s De Jong, who starred for the Dutch at Euro 2008, fits the bill. The German outfit, managed by former Tottenham boss Martin Jol, are keen to do the deal with the Toon as long as personal terms can be agreed. Ex-Ajax ace De Jong is 23 and has already won 26 international caps. He can play as either a defensive midfielder or right wing-back. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article1427609.ece Nicked from tommorows Sun, so theres probably no truth in it, but its the first time i've seen the name linked anywhere.
  5. Pretty happy with it. Not often we've gone for promising players who are young on the cheap. Obviously we need to sign some older/better quality players alongside him though. Good luck to him.
  6. The Telegraph expands on it a bit more.. Amid speculation that there have been discussions between his representatives and American private equity fund InterMedia Partners - and, more intriguingly, the Saudi Binladin Group, Ashley said: "I am keen to have partners in Newcastle. That's a very expensive seat I sit in. I think I'll start with people from Newcastle. "It's not as if I'm going to go and see Bin in a cave in Afghanistan and say, 'good morning, come and sit next to me. Is that a rucksack you've got with you? Oh, good'." The Saudi-based Binladin Group, run by Osama bin Laden's half-brother, Bakr bin Laden, distanced themselves from the Al-Qaeda founder some years ago. Ashley's Sports Direct empire, which was floated in March last year, reported that profits for the year to April had halved after a drop in sales attributed in part to poor weather last summer and England's failure to qualify for the finals of Euro 2008. advertisement The chairman said he was keen for Newcastle fans to invest alongside him in the club. "A proportion of Newcastle for Newcastle fans would make a lot of sense. If anyone wants to buy one per cent of Newcastle they can buy at the same price as me. I don't care if 100 guys want to club together to buy 0.1 per cent. Newcastle have got to be able to compete." The famously reticent Ashley's comments are an attempt to counter months of speculation that he could make a quick profit on the club and get out. He said: "I think last year, we were on the Titanic and still dancing with the band. This year will be different." Brilliant.
  7. So we are signing the players agent? odd Hilarious. Thought Jiminez was in charge of doing negotiations anyway, and not Wise?
  8. The online version of the Daily Mail reckon Wise has agreed terms with the players agent.
  9. Todays mail funnily enough has no mention of our complete denial of their Sunday story about the Bin Ladens bidding for us. In fact, one of their columnists still says "they made a bid". What a waste of space, might have to send him an email when I get home. They all seem to overlook the fact that BOTH partys denied it. Useless cunts
  10. A decent aged, Argentine international winger. And completely out of the blue. Good work by the club.
  11. Yeah. The Mirrors article is saying that he pleaded guilty after the judge told him he'd get a suspended sentance.
  12. Sentanced tommorow morning.... Can't wait!
  13. Jesus christ, what a shambles of a company. Found another couple of letters today requesting payment, blah blah blah, so I rung them up again. This time, the CS rep couldnt spot that I cancelled on the 24th of March like the previous one had, and insisted I sent in a letter (3rd time i'd cancel) by recorded delivery. After a bit of arguing, she spoke to a supervisor, who then somehow found out that my account was cancelled (completely randomly) on the 17th of June. And once she confirmed that to me, she basically said thanks and hung up on me. Cheers, what a superb company they are. Also, used that 0191 number and got through straight away this time, so cheers for posting that number.
  14. i guess my grammar wasn't good Your grammar was fine!
