Do you honestly laugh that much at the most mundane of statements, or do you have a disease of some sort?

Say for instance Scott Parker was to be called up this summer (if England had qualified), then we wouldn't be complaining then, would we? I assume it balances out quite well overall. If anything, it'll help smaller clubs if players have progressed quickly to a big team.
-
Yeah, that pissed me off. They're obviously just doing it by how many games he's played, even though Allardyce always said he'd give him time to settle. Arseholes.

JERMAIN DEFOE and Shaun Wright- Phillips were last night queueing up to join Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle revolution. Tottenham striker Defoe and Chelsea wideman SWP would relish the free- flowing, attacking football that has become a trademark of Keegan’s teams. New Toon boss Keegan, who has £20million to spend, told players to expect changes. He said: “If new players are coming in and you are worried about that then you should not be here. You should want good players at this football club.” Keegan dropped the bombshell to his Toon squad at training yesterday. A Newcastle insider said: “It wasn’t like a big speech by the manager or anything but it sounded like he would be making a few changes. “With only a couple of weeks left in the transfer window, he has not really got time to assess what is already there. He has to make some quick decisions.” Defoe, 25, and Wright-Phillips, 26, are the sort of players Keegan admires although their wage demands and asking prices may be barriers. But Keegan has been promised the freedom to go for the players he wants most. Defoe is struggling to establish himself under new Spurs boss Juande Ramos, while Wright-Phillips may relish the chance of guaranteed first-team football. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article700394.ece Of all the papers who would bring us back down to earth, I didnt expect it to be the sun!

I nearly fucking choked, i read the first 3 then for some reason skipped to the last name Hahahahaha Wayne Bridge was mentioned as being a first target. SWP would be obvious from his city days too. Fucking hell, i'm quite excited.

SSN just done a backpage review. All papers agree he's got a bottomless pit to spend, and names mentioned were; Ronaldinho, Kaka, Deco, Wright Phillips, Drogba, Bridge, Scott Brown & Wes Brown. Its going to be an interesting 2 weeks.

What about Barton? New bail today might mean new conditions?

Newcastle have today made a formal approach to Portsmouth for permission to speak to manager Harry Redknapp, Sportsmail can reveal. The 60-year-old has been torn between staying at Pompey and the challenge of taking over at St James' Park but it seems certain he will now agree to become the next Newcastle manager. According to the London Evening Standard he has told friends that he will accept the "biggest challenge" of his life as he tries to breathe life into the ailing north east giants Compensation would now appear to be the only issue left to resolve before Redknapp takes over from Sam Allardyce, who was sacked on Wednesday night after just eight months in charge with their chairman Alex Gaydamark wanting at least £1.5million before the former West Ham manager is unveiled next week. It's believed he can expect a £5m-a-year deal - five times his current salary at Fratton Park - and will be allowed to commute from his Sandbanks home in Poole, Dorset, with Ashley prepared to lend his new manager his private jet. Former Arsenal captain Tony Adams has already been sounded out about replacing Redknapp, who has led Portsmouth to eighth in the Premier League. Ashley is currently in Hong Kong on business but wants his chairman Chris Mort to get their new manager in place before Wednesday's FA Cup replay at home to Stoke City. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=507590&in_page_id=1779&ct=5 Hmmm

and getting behind a manager who won't bring success is EXACTLY what helps, yes? Hwo can Spurs get Ramos, and we have to settle for fucking Redknapp?? Because as you've been telling us for ages now, we're just a useless, pathetic midtable side?
-
Why the fuck would we sack Allardyce to go for Harry fucking Redknapp. Fuck off.
-
Its Redknapp. SSN say official approach in the morning.
-
Fucking gutted. If shearer takes over, then we are a complete joke.

Left out of tonights squad

I'm pretty sure Arsenal rested some players against Burnley. Heres hoping they do the same against us. Hopefully 11 of them.
-
Stoke are only 13 league places below us. Same as Sunderland playing Man City really. I have no idea where i'm going with that, but I dont think Stoke are as bad as some people are making out here. And those conditions were fucking terrible. I'm pretty surprised we're still in the draw TBH.

Beye with a hamstring injury, Emre with an ankle injury. Reckon Sholas not playing due to not wanting to be cup-tied? Thought Carr should be back by now too. -
SSN breaking news.

Good news.

French/Czech/Brazillian/Senegalese. Same thing mate. They're all overpaid mercenary cunts in Nicky's eyes. I meant spoke French

One of the big things about his transfer when he signed was that he was really pleased Allardyce told him he was going to give him time to settle, and not throw him straight in. He's still a very young player, remember. With an all French/English back 4, and Enrique only speaking Spanish, I honestly reckon he's just going to give him as long as he needs to settle and adapt, while we've got N'Zogbia still doing a good enough job at LB. I reckon he'll be first choice LB before the seasons out. He certainly hasn't looked shockingly bad in the times he's played from what i've seen so far.

So infuriating that the press keep hammering home the fact that all geordies want Shearer in as manager. No we all fucking don't, and yet it keeps constantly being said.

Teamtalk now say we've pulled out of a move
