Fantastic team selection Pards hope it pans out tonight!

For all the times I had seen him in France, I always felt like he was a bit wasted playing deep and seemed much more a threat when given license to just cause problems everywhere on the pitch with his trademark half-pitch runs and bulldozing people left and right. I think his role as it currently stands is perfect for us now, but if we were to get someone in capable of playing his role better, then as long as he's somewhere on the pitch with instructions to attack and help out in defense when he can, then I'm all for it. Personally, I think we'd be losing a lot of our counter attack if he was shackled to play deep. I just want this brilliant bastard on the pitch causing havoc like he is now. As it currently stands, through the handful of games hes played - he is just too essential in our attack to be moved anywhere else. I'm all for some experimentation this summer/next season though as long as we are using his strengths to the max and getting results.

I don't fear Hiddinnk - I fear the possibility of facing Willian & Eto'o on the pitch at the same time. We're at home though, and SJP will be fucking rocking. It has the makings to be a special night for you lot going.

Its like we are being robbed of being able to see a player who epitomizes what football is all about. He's always been an "ambassador" of this club, and people young, old, and even those who don't watch football appreciate a player of his immense quality and ability. Hopefully this gets sorted quickly and we get him back on the pitch 100% some time and he's out there putting in MOM performances over a complete season.

His head looks huge too

El Shaar's hair man, its fucking awful.

Still not fullbacks though, as the Arsenal and Bayern showed where Bayern pulled Verm about all over the place. I would be tempted to play narrow as f*ck 3 cbs and s*** tonnes of midfielders and attacking midfielders and possession whore the s*** out of it. But even that i'm not sure would work. I think between Vertonghen, Lombaerts, and Pocognoli they could have a half-decent LB. Not world beaters, but sufficient. I'll agree with both posts. Too much talent out there - they've got to get it right.

That team better qualify for the WC - would be a damn shame. Tons of dynamic talent.
-
Surely they can figure out a way to fit Aldweireld and Verm as outside backs and Kompany and Vertonghen at CB? But Ald & Verm can play RB/LB no? Probably FIFAtastic mind you.

He's the man, end-of. Our number 9 and a man who seems to really make the fans all around happy with his fantastic attitude.
-
The way he decided to hold play up and force a corner was awesome. I hope he becomes a real player for us man. I remember how exciting it was to see Chopra and Andy Carroll in their early days. Hope this guy becomes a top player in our shirt.

Look man - its a message board, chat & debate all you want. But you know you'll get a reaction when you are constantly criticizing the better players in their individual threads every single day. Has the fact that there are very little quoting you or agreeing with you made any difference? No. You just continue on with your point in every single thread, nearly every single day.
-
He's playing well - just needs to continue to keep it up.

Ronaldo. He destroys those mid-level height driven balls - see: Mentalist disallowed goal and the one he scored earlier in the cup that was similar. There was one half-volley he swung for that the Stoke man got in the way of, I'm sure that one would have ripped the net off and the place would have went mental.

Comparing a young man who just arrived in English football to the likes of Mata, Toure, and Wilshire who have played here for many years is mind boggling. Also lets not forget Moussa has completely transformed the way we attack and has more or less been the biggest catalyst for our uptick in results since January. He's been outstanding for us when even he is below his standard (and I've had no problems with him at all since he's joined either) These type of posts in nearly every thread, nearly every morning I wake up are becoming so predictable now. It's getting fucking old man.

If we signed Menez - he'd be starting for us Menez - Cisse - HBA

Read today that Nike is in talks to take over kit making duties for AS Roma.

Will be closing my office door or finding a way to leave work early on Thursday and watch at home. I'm so fucking excited for this.
-
He was trying to get involved and was opening himself for passes yesterday. He was also carrying the ball into space and laying off to the more skilled player too.
-
No, he doesn't hide man. He gives us 100% every time - but he's far off the footballer he once was. We all see and recognize that. Great, honest pro but clearly shouldn't be in our first 11 anymore and is getting more minutes than Anita or Marv.
-
He can be such a rock of a player at times. As soon as he get's a few run of games in he starts playing really well. I've always been a massive fan of his and love seeing him fulfill some of that potential he has. Regarding his general mental ways, I love them all. I'd be over the moon if he received a call-up and a cap for England. He rightfully deserves it too.

Was he not, like? And the fantastic attitude that Cisse has to agree with a smile and be proud of the goal he scored to secure 3 points.
