I’m all for long term thinking but ffs if we don’t plug the middle soon, and NO Barnes and Willock aren’t plugging that middle, we’re going to see the same overrunning of our midfield the minute the press isn’t working because the tired legs will remain tired for a long time.

Need to sell Almiron before Murphy imho. Minteh will be with us next season. Need then decide if selling Murphy and buying a top class RW is the way to go or if we’re going to loan out Minteh one more time, which means you keep the Murph…unless he is more than keen to stay on. Just rewatch the Tonali debut, he was comfortably the best player on the park that day in a role where he dominated from a right sided 8 role but was all action, defending and keeping the game ticking over. He looked sensational.

at some point you could easily switch to a double pivot (if Howe was ready to do it...) with Bruno and Tonali paired together and Joe Willock as a 10. Out of possession Willock drops in. Reality is - we need a LB, DM, Attacking Mid, RW and CF. And a few guys need to be moved on....

Don't finish anywhere below 10th; get the boys fit and start playing the football we've come to know and love under Howe. I want to see us playing disciplined in defense like last season, using our energy to bully teams in attack and if we're not ahead, fighting to keep the result. This nonsense of us being at 0-0 and collapsing away from home needs to stop. I want clean sheets again, gamesmanship to see out games, not every single team passing through our defense and finally, when we're attacking - stop taking ass shots and keep the ball. At this point I want to see us back to playing good football and seeing out matches. Where that ends up in the table is hopefully within 6-10 place.

Needs to fix the counter attacking vulnerability ASAP. Needs to sign a 6 and he needs to give minutes to Krafth and Hall.
