    Joelinton

He was fucking class tonight. Feel for him so much. Heart of a lion man.
  2. yep and @Minhosa said it well on the other page.
  3. Wish he was playing for us right now. Needed him this week.

    Lewis Miley

    He’s special. Love this kid.
  5. You need a goalie to make saves when it matters or what’s the point of persisting? It’s not like he’s fucking Jak Alnwick. its the same with relying on strikers to score when a flash point requires.
  6. my guy, you know I’m never like this. His technique is fucking shocking. Not even getting into the madness of others who should have done something about letting that specific break happen!
  7. You ever see a movie called White Man Can’t Jump? Starring Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes. That describes our current #1 who didn’t bother lifting himself off the ground for a shot a guy was clearly going far post and high.
  8. I’m benching him and selling him in Jan. I’d play a fucking academy kid over Martin. He offers us nothing.
  9. Look let me be clear. Nothing is really his fault in a situation like that. But you back a keeper to make a big time save in that scenario, particularly a guy who used to be a legit PL #1. But he’s not getting any fucking lift on mid-high shots at all. His technique seems so far gone than what it used to be. Given, Harper, Krul, Pope and Loris. Yes, him. Make that save.
  10. If I see him get beat by mid level shot he didn’t bother to dive up for again; his technique is fucking worthless. Watch how he dives ffs before blindly backing him. Solid bloke and I’ll forever respect him during the bad times but he can’t make any big save. He can’t.
  11. I don’t know what to say. It was in our grasps. Ugh.
  12. Think our CL kit with the patch actually looks perfect this season. I hope we go all white at home tomorrow.
  13. Gonna trust Howe to get it right.
  14. Back are the days players take some pain killing shots and get their asses on the pitch.
  15. Think Dan Burn’s return will alleviate some of the away form a bit, with Livramento getting game time situationally. Will be good for Trippier of course.
  16. our fully fit side could be a force in European football. I am 100% sure of that. Pope, trips, Botman, Schar, tino. Big Joe or little Joe, Bruno, Tonali, isak, Gordon and Almiron or Barnes. Ya that team not dead or hurt is scalping most of Europe.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

1 if we get our true long term target. 2 if 1 is not an option. 3 isn’t on the cards for me.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

He’s a good, quick and big fucking keeper. Commands area and insane reflexes. Idolized Neur but seems like he’s focused more on his shot stopping.
  19. I think Peter is probably 100% correct. I'd say Pope, Emi Martinez and Alisson are the best 3 shot stoppers in the league. VIcario is very close if not on par on current form.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

@Minhosa Think it would be very poor from the owners if they mucked about a genuine opportunity to help Howe and the fatigued/hurt squad. There are glaring issues with our team and no amount of Miley, Anderson, Willock, or Longstaff will make up for the loss of Tonali and what that should have done for us over the course of a season. Pope's injury and Dubravka being a far different keeper doesn't help at all.
  21. 100% with you here. After initial gut annoyances I tend to default to this. I would feel differently if we had an entire fit squad with minimal injuries but we all knew we’d have a ton more fixtures and on paper the team that opened the season missing only willock and Longstaff (and had they been fit) showed that we could be capable of something special if we had the depth for it. Our current injury situation is unprecedented.
  22. A half fit or fully fit Son is one of the best attackers in the PL. This season’s Tottenham at full pelt is really deadly going forward and has some very good pieces in midfield. Ange seems a top bloke and humble at that, making this season’s team all then more likeable imho. I’m seeing a lot of the same with Spurs and Villa this season as I saw with us with Howe after we finally won at Leeds 2 seasons ago. He’s turning disinterested, written off players and building a real team mentality, and where I’d say both Spurs and Villa benefit are the baseline are much higher than where we started. If you can fine tune Douglas Luiz, Bentacour, Pedro Poro, Lucas Digne and Son you’re going to be OK. A fully fit Newcastle v fully fit Tottenham both in equal form would be a slug fest. Could go either way.
