I’m beginning to see a pathway where he plays as a 10 in front of a double pivot of Tonali and a holding mid in certain situations. His passing angles he creates for balls thru are absolutely sublime.

There’s a fine line between keeper being blamed and blameless as much as there is the need for your keeper to make a big save in a key moment. Theirs did, ours did not. Mike had no business getting half a palm and a thumb strong enough to pop Bruno’s onto the bar and out. His view was completely obstructed.

He makes that save prob the season and season after he signed for us.

He takes far less risks than Longstaff in passing and is still developing his engine but he makes the safe and right pass more often than not which is amazing.
