  1. Tonali has just taken this over. Holy fuck.
  2. Think we’ve been a little sloppy in the final third but that will work itself out. Glad we’re going towards the gallowgate this half. More of the same and attack cash at all opportunities.
  3. Baffled by what point people try to make when we literally just began operating like a real football club starting in Jan 22 when we had our first window under our new owners. We couldn’t even plan for the future until Ashworth was able to come in that summer of 2022 as well.
  4. yeah but I’d argue that Maguire’s role as captain was untenable both on pitch and off pitch. There’s a split on Jamaal’s footballing abilities but he’s never had his own teammates slagging him on the pitch and for the most part I don’t see our own fans begging for him to go and calling him all sorts of names. Ten Hag had to act.
  5. prices weren’t out of control then either. We’re playing catch up in every sense of the game with rules changed and adopted by the league re: spending that wasn’t ever in existence prior to our takeover. You obviously know that. The London draw of an elite club like Arsenal, who’ve never shied from infrastructure spending, youth development and an area where they’ve got never ending talent coming through will always have a leg up on us, no?
  6. with all due respect my man, but fuck out of here with that soft shit about Eddie. your club captain was hated by your own fans and any time he did anything wrong the press hounded him and killed him for it. You didn’t want him as captain and you all wanted him gone out the club. jamaal is our club captain and trippier is the on field. Dan burn is also part of the leadership group. We don’t have personalities (yet) that out shine our collective like your club.
  7. I don't know a single one of these burnley players

    St James' Park

Everton's stadium is looking like it will cost close to 750m pound, I assume a new ground for Newcastle would be likely north of that when it's all said and done.
  12. I'd do that deal every day of the week.
  13. Yasir absolutely loves sport, man. He's obssesed with it. It's the only reason why PIF are going all in on sport IMO.
  14. You pay 100m+ for the real deal who's shown it on all levels and is going to contribute 2-way type of tangible return and is as close to guarantee as you get.
  15. Gallagher should go back to Palace.

    St James' Park

Guys, it won't be cheaper. Construction costs are through the roof, coupled with the availability of skilled construction labor globally. Our only benefit is that we probably are lucky enough that PIF could likely fund the entire construction of a new stadium or expansion with cash where as our rivals had to go into the debt markets to fund. Now, if the PIF do it their institutional way, they may get debt from their preferred lenders....which would be intersting as well. It's an expensive project one way or another. Do not look at what stuff cost 1-5 years ago or 5-10 years ago. It doesn't compare anymore.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

My guess is we have our eyes set on RCB, LB, RW and #6. RCB seems to be the largest priority for Eddie Howe. If a deal is to be had for any of those positions, they'll switch the order and make an opportunistic purchase (see Gordon in Jan). I'd venture to say we will fill all of those positions come end of next summer. In 3 windows we'll have made those signings (Summer 2023, Jan 2023, Summer 2024)
