Our main goal threats are playing though. Elanga and Barnes off bench

I’m sure my post will be useless come season end, but he was the king here - all of the ingedrients in the bowl were mixed for him to have his cake and eat it too and he treated all of us like complete tossers. His return to the top of the mantle may take longer than he envisioned, but hes going to have to work for it. Hugo Ekitke is also searching for that same one.

I bet he’s back in a year’s time.

Aye I fuckin said it the other week, he had an entire team and system built on maximizing him. He will not get that at Liverpool ever. So the safe thing to say is “he’ll be fine” but it’s such a default response. Their first and last option is Mo Salah. It’s never been about the CF. Will it come good for him? Maybe. Maybe not though. But he deserves every pelter coming his way. Eddie > ALL.

Todibo and Kilman are a good CB partnership. Nuno will get them going. He’s a damn good manager.

Financing a project like this is what 10/10 companies would do.

Financing new construction is standard practice. I do not know why you guys would think any differently. Just be happy that we have the equity to cover 40-60% of that because a lot of football owners do not, and would have to have a heavy debt payment and low equity piece in the stadium. Also, if they are sourcing equity sources then there is a chance we're bringing on another partner which could have some benefit.

no fear in his play, his back to goal stuff that he's so widely known for looks like it will translate seamlessly into england. We jsut look so bloody fluid at times, its very cool to see.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

I'm sure he's going to be very happy to be hung out to dry in public like that. Such an honorable club! -
We spread it well tbh, just saying that option 1 last 3 seasons was praying for the #9 to score THEN the others. It feels like the onus now is really on the collective. Like I said, I think the idea is we need Wissa and Woltemade to make up the majority of Isak’s goals and lads like Barnes, Elanga, Murphy, Gordon need to pick up a little more + we really need Joelinton and Bruno in amongst the goals too.
-
Gordon overloading into the attack was class I agree
-
Nick and Wissa need to split the majority Isak tally + Joelinton and the like need to chip in more. Simple.
-
If anyone turn on him in here they deserve punting into the sea and account deletion / ip block.

the fact that became a thing in top level football hurts my soul

Every single player makes little mistakes every single match. Find it very odd that we continue to go into minutia over it on here. Think all performances should be judged on the whole and if you can’t be encouraged by his performance and potential partnership with Botman I don’t know what to tell you.

Shola was very mobile and quick in early days, he lost that over time when he bulked up and became a complete unit.

biggest thing I noticed last night. His inclusion in the team has also required the rest of the midfield and attack to become more involved and to take pops at goal. This was needed from us for ages, we’ve been far too reliant on Wilson and Isak scoring the majority of goals. of course Nick is in education mode, we all knew that signing him and knew that was the plan for this season and next most likely. So be good if people gave him the space and benefit of the doubt that it may show some matches and may not. Last night was massively encouraging to see his class on the ball making passes and linking play that we’ve not seen in ages.
