Willock as the LCM and etc. I thought the evolution in attacking play was a ? But I assumed we’d just go for broke and we’d see Willock develop into this all action attacking mid we saw at the end of the 22/23. Joelinton would continue to add goals. Isak would be lights out and we were going to bank on AG being an all around improvement on the intensity of Miggy. Granted I want Maddison to play that wide right role and was annoyed we didn’t get him.

yeah, exactly. Repeating myself from last few posts but I think bringing Tonali into the functioning in form team and letting him play the base of the 3 is the way to go. He’ll be moving the ball up the pitch very quickly and his one touch passing will be very effective in build up and bailing out of tricky situations.

yep, play him at the base with JW left and Bruno right. Joelinton on one flank. Think that actually gives Tonali the responsibility he needs to show his talent in the team. Bruno will always get the ball and demand it a ton, but Tonali as RCM is bypassed and his best bits of his abilities are not used.

Happy that he now has about 2 weeks worth of training and rest to keep building the fitness and strength levels too. I was worried he was mentally cooked when he was playing earlier this season and more that we maybe lost our little Joe to too many injuries. Thankfully I was wrong.
