We win that match 9x out of 10 with how we played that first 30 mins. In the Howe era we bag a goal at home (our streak was fucking insane by the way). At 1-1 we go and win that match too IMHO. Results like this happen in football.

Which is the exact points I made yesterday; release clause or not, he chose to not uproot his life and family and signed for a top club in London. That may not fit the agenda on a release clause but it's absolutely a factor in ANY transfer whether anyone wants to discuss that or not.
-
Very much agree with this.

I'd be more than happy as a fan (and I feel like a lot would) if we were in europe every season, making a good run at the cups, and progressing in every area each season - on pitch, commercial, stadium improvements or new ground, training ground, community, academy, women's team. To me that is success, and I assume you'd have most sane human being fans being very happy with that. Re: first team, I feel Howe with the current squad should get us between 5th-8th every season assuming we continue to have the key players fit and we continue to add to the first team.

our main one, the NUFC one and the bird one?

right so you can’t just keep painting a one sided argument bro. We don’t know why he signed for Chelsea over us. He does live in London, and Chelsea did offer a deal that met whatever he wanted to stay in London. He did have to relocate his family. So maybe there’s that? Why can’t anyone simply accept a high jack? Why is it always someone’s fault?
-
Well you don’t know the terms. And you know Chelsea are aggressive. So no, you don’t agree to anything and everything if it doesn’t make sense. Just because free does not mean there’s no downside. It’s overly simplistic to suggest that and you know it.
-
how is that bollocks? He’s unbelievably talented but he’s a massive weak link this season. He hasn’t looked anything like the the lights out defender from last season, his ball carrying is non existent, his passing is sloppy. Hes switching off defensively. Calling a spade a spade.
-
But what were the terms of the clause?
-
He’s showing to be a better footballer than Tino. Far more involved in every phase of our game and rightly sticking by him.
-
im sure if it was that simple we’d have done the deal.
-
Tino isn’t ready. Stop kidding yourselves. Hes half asleep defending, he’s misplacing simple passes constantly, his recovery pace to cover isn’t there, his crosses aren’t there. So yes, we want to promote and give chances to youth, but Hall is taking his chance. Tino hasn’t this season. Selling trippier wasn’t ever on guys, there wasn’t ever a bid from Bayern for 12m. It was false shit. Tino needs to show his unquestionable talent on the pitch. That is on him.

Right but the comment or narrative we didn’t attempt to sign a RW is false. We tried. We failed. And we know the fallout. Olise was a genuine attempt. Elanga was part of the Anderson deal and they said no. And then we tried again on deadline day to no avail. We don’t know the type of player we are targeting there I agree. I’d love for an Olise style. A proper technical right winger who can do a bit of it all. Emphasis on the creative more than all.
-
We attempted to sign Olise and Elanga, and Minteh was supposed to also be a replacement. Don’t forget that.
-
I’m still convinced that you could make Barnes have a Pedro style role of basically last shoulder on the right side cutting in behind and he’d be useful. Shoot on sight.
-
Again all valid but when do you look at world class or elite players and say hey, what the fuck was that today? I’m worried about the overall situation. But I’m more so about the players. I dont know if many of them are all that. I often try and separate coaching and decision making and I see an AWFUL lot of player chosing or executing wrong this season.
-
Perhaps he’s playing with some fear of making mistakes and then thus making them, but he’s clearly a talented kid who on his best day is a lights out 1 v 1 defender and a fantastic ball carrier. Sky is the limit for him but he’s got many many many levels to develop. But have to say, trippier is our main RB and should be until he hangs it up.
-
Really confused with him. He looked a different player away to Forest than what we've seen recently.
-
Fucking get fit man, we need you.
-
willock was fucking turbo shit.
-
Poor result.
-
We should have won this.

Why take Tonali off, man. Ffs.
