  1. The rebuttals and tweets themselves are moronic. It literally doesn’t make any sense. Technically it’s as crucial to the business plan, if not more than training ground and X million spend. It’s likely in their budgets and cash flow discussions. It’s how they will plan to attract players, sponsors and corporate partnerships. It’s likely how they convinced each other to bid FFS. It’s just a very lazy comment when they go to the utmost detail to try and explain everything else. Why not just simply say “we have not seen a shortlist; the buyer maintains that Steve Bruce is currently the manager.” Or something like that.
  2. Seeing tweets from respected and reputable journalists today where many are saying there isn’t a shortlist of managers to replace Bruce So you’re telling me these lot are working to buy a 300m club, invest hundreds of millions into squad and facilities. Have a detailed plan on some things they’ll do from day 1 etc and they haven’t a shortlist for who they want to lead this club and these new and expensive signings to what is hopefully the top end of the table and europe? In the hundreds and thousands of meetings they’ve had within their partnership there hasn’t been an ounce of “we should get X to manage them”  Sorry journalists. That is where the common and “uninformed” have to stop you; just like their inability to understand transactions or how business actually is done if their sources don’t tell them what’s happening. Sources also tell you what you want to hear sometimes or just a part of the truth.

do people want away fans closer to the pitch? or do they like that away fans who come to our ground are far from the pitch?
  4. I have to say - the Asics away and third in 93-95 were incredible. Umbro 1992 away as well. Sheesh.
  5. at various points in our history, he had many of us rooting for losses so that our manager could get sacked....he had us rooting for losses so we'd go down and he'd maybe consider selling up. wild.
  6. power ranking our home kits: 1. adidas 95-97 2. adidas 01-03 3. asics 93-95 4. adidas 99-01 5. puma 17-18
  7. Poch is a fantastic manager man. Anyone thinking he's overrated needs a head check. He's lost domestic titles to Chelsea x2, Man City x2, and Leicester during his time at Spurs prior to getting the sack in November. His domestic cup runs have been ended basically by Chelsea and Man United in late rounds, including a Final appearance a few years ago. His European record at Spurs included last 16 (losing to Juve) and a Final loss in 17/18 and 18/19. He develops players, has a fantastic footballing philosophy and I'm sure is hungry for his next challenge where he can build a squad without the restrictions of debt payments to cover a stadium development loan.
  8. Grabbing a keg from the brewery on Thursday for the Friday announcement. 165 cans. On book Cuba. Brilliant. I have some nice champagne ready and a bourbon to night cap it. Bring it the fuck on
  9. Only issue with freezing the tables as they are now is play-offs. You couldn’t just promote the highest ranked team below the automatic spots as that opens up a huge can of worms. I do say this with a slightly biased perspective mind as I’m desperate for this season to be concluded properly. The club I work for have a real chance of promotion and it’d be heartbreaking if they were denied the opportunity to achieve that. Good call - then maybe you make promotion playoffs behind closed doors? But then can you just let the bottom 3s freeze?
  10. literally couldn't give a fuck about this season anymore tbh. Freeze the tables in the English system. Applying assumptions of points to future matches doesn't make a single bit of sense and it's one of those things where you just start making way too many assumptions. Award titles, euro places, and demotion/promotion based on this frozen table. Get everybody healthy, move on to next season.
  11. would love for the league to just end the season, table freezes as is - Bruce never manages a game for us again.
  12. Have the champagne ready to pop once this gets announced.

LFEE[/member] cheers for the explanation - did not know it was in fact land owned by the Freeman - so in essence, the SJH plan was to build the stadium and inject some money into your land and likely would include paying a higher rent too.
  14. Always been a fan of Jorge Jesus man
  15. very interesting and similar to some of the stuff we’ve talked about 1 on 1, Minhosa[/member]

always thought the leazes idea seemed to make most sense if a new one had to be built.

  18. Yorkie[/member] combo of him being done with us and covid19. Covid def pushed him over the edge.
  19. Whatever happens, I hope Sometime soon we have a new owner and we’re all just having fun and enjoying football again instead of having to be part of this insanely unfair public process that we’re innocent bystanders in. I love NUFC, and have done so for the last 24 years of my life. It has always been my #1 sport club. Just want it to be a success and I want the people who support it to enjoy it. I want those who go to the stadium to have elbows galore and I want to finally see us lift a trophy.
  20. he said verbally agreed...and pcp has exclusivity, so you'd like to think this is just someone telling the press "mike agreed to my verbal offer of X" ... but that in itself could be a breach of contract too.
