Some of you guys need to agree to disagree.

BeoutQ is a funny name to me
-
beIn is a Qatari organization. (Rival to KSA). PL could just make a conditional approval that the PIF work with KSA to remedy this issue with BEIn. It’s not always black and white. Now if the KSA say no. Other thing.

Just thinking thru this...over next 12 months+ - probably new website, new club shop website - new nufc tv or streaming content for us to watch etc. - new sponsors and other commercial partners - new kit supplier just the random stuff, but none the less stuff that's fun to see.

you can click the tweet, and then just hit translate. nice little game of "wonder what is behind this Arabic script"

Honestly, wouldn't even lose a single bit of sleep if our choices are between Rafa, Poch and Allegri and would be overjoyed with any of them. Holy shit.
-
The last frame is the most unfair of them all. Poor.

The ESPN article: https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-transfers/story/4087557/new-newcastle-owners-target-pochettinoallegricavani-sources Ties with that other french journalist that Rafa, Allegri, Poch and Favre are the top manager candidates. Rafa and Favre are in jobs currently so would have to factor in compensation.

This place is going to be unreal once announced. Going to be special.

also brent crude is down 8% which is what middle east oil is pegged off - not wti crude which is the US/Canada.

I doubt Newcastle is a way to diversify their portfolio. It’s a marketing investment. This rumour is 99% sure bullshit but marketing generally seems to be the first thing cut when things dont go that well. Sports and entertainment for 2030 initiative is of course a diversification from the reliance on oil. you're also using the basics of business practiced in most countries around the world onto a sovereign wealth fund that has it's own investment thesis (or lack thereof). if this deal doesn't happen, i doubt it has anything to do with oil prices in April and more to do on the direction of PIF long term. think big picture here.
-
the whole point of the PIF is to diversify out of oil, you'd assume this deal would be something that wouldn't be of issue to them and more aramco and other energy related sector issues.

ambitious project like this is exactly the type of stuff I'd expect from the capital of our new owners

you don't want to add capacity for the sake of it - but think getting to 60-70k (max) is the right idea if possible. More-over do we think we need to basically re-do the seating, add additional premium options etc and enhance the concourses etc to be able to justify charging more for seats? or is this someone that raising the prices will hurt the capacity?

hurting my soul slightly that Steve Wraith is getting access to these people

Pilko, Of course we want a new man day 1 and to Bruce to get kicked to the curb immediately but if we have to endure Bruce until end of season to sort out Rafa's return or bring in a world class manager to lead us forward, then so be it.

My preferred route would be something like Greg[/member] mentioned above - 1) buy the strawberry place land or enter into a lease with the new owner of the land and pay them rent and 2) expand gallowgate end 3) total renovation of the interior/exterior of the stadium to modernize and take it to the next level; 4) create more premium seating to drive additional revenue within the current stadium My secondary idea would be to develop on the site that SJH wanted to create the new stadium on and build something brilliant - hopefully with an "ode" to SJP in design

They will definitely already know who they want and very likely held some sort of discussion with him. The Saudis biggest rivals have Mbappe, Neymar and Tuchel. They have Aguero, De Bruyne and Pep. They will not be sitting around thinking Bruce fits in that group with whoever they decide to spunk cash on

Some really interesting posts today - much of what I’ve read from friends who are from there and are in their early 30s like myself.

You can easily flatten that land out. The thing with the arena site is that it would need to be part of a wide scheme to improve it. Going to the arena once you pass the Life centre is grim. That railway bridge that isn’t used anymore would have to go, right now it just makes access to the arena grim, and covered in pigeon poo. The area around there is not the nicest. On top of that, as much as it’s in the city centre and a stone’s throw away from Central, it still doesn’t feel very much like being in the city centre. A master developer’s dream.

They wouldn’t play their hand right now anyway. Literally don’t need to say anything On the managers job either. Fully expect a top quality one hired.
-
Think the answer is to modernize and renovate what we’ve got and try and be creative about expanding the current ground by any means possible.
-
One day we are furloughing our employees and claiming we can’t compete with Wolves and Bournemouth and the next we have owners who want to turn us into a force. Never gray with Nufc. Jesus

PIF likely don’t mind RB in for their real estate and development know-how. They also have a healthy balance sheet and can provide additional local knowledge. I assume PIF will start investing into RBs other funds, if they haven’t already.

There is a fantastic interview on the Athletic podcast with Rafa where he discusses all of this.
