  1. McClaren is a good man. I'm actually impressed by the level of his outward professionalism. Honestly, it should have happened ages ago but just saying.
  2. i tell myself that is a lie to make myself feel better
  3. He's lost like 5 steps of pace (not that he was fast) but he covered the pitch far better before and was far more agile. That first season he'd fucking battle and just barrel some people over and displayed pretty great range of passing.
  4. Steve Black's email there was fucking fantastic. I've posted about him a few times, but his role intrigues me, I bet he absolutely LOVED Wijnaldum's goal (everyone did) but I bet he was praised to no end and shown as an example of desire, passion, and belief. All the stuff he's saying is top-notch, it's all the right stuff I've been taught in various management & leadership courses I've done over the past year for work, I'm chuffed to fucking bits that we finally have that at this club.
  5. His style of play and way he moves about the pitch is excellent. Want him to make the wide left forward role or #10 as his own and hold it.
  6. Glad we tied them in that game. Was a good game of soccer. If only the field was shorter and we had over time to win the game.

If there wasn't, I'm sure there will be in no time. Personally, I think that's what he thrives on and we could be a really good fit for him. Loved that interview with Ben Arfa when he loved the crowd urging him forward I'm fucking excited for Saturday. Hoping we get a full 90 out of this fella. We've finally got pace and talent on the wings again.

Question to any one who went to the match - when he got the ball wide right was there any collective "go on" like used to do for Ben Arfa?
  9. Have a fucking go at these man, we're at home, we just smashed Northampton, we just tied Man Utd away. Have a fucking go. If Sissoko is fit you start him, Wijnaldum and Anita in midfield. You start Thauvin and Perez wide and Mitrovic up top. If Sissoko is not fit then Siem should take the #10 role to link things up and string it all together and have Wijnaldum paired with Anita. Our attacking 4-5 players can inflict damage on anyone and its people like Thauvin who can get the stadium rocking man.
  10. How / What was De Jong's style? Like what was doing throughout?
  11. If you'd have witnessed the behavior of their fans when they've been down here you would probably think them a pack of c***s.
  12. What are peoples thoughts on Celtic? Their crowd seem to go mental and make fair crack of noise. Celtic Park looks wonderful on TV during the CL too.
  13. I for one, will enjoy seeing the upper deck empty.
  14. Smith is also an absolute Bellend of the highest calibre when I saw him in Orlando.
  15. Not seen any indication of that so far tbh, also i'm pretty convinced if Janmaat came first the opposite would be said. Debuchy was miles better going forward tbh, the away game at Palace where we won 3-0 sticks in my mind. Debuchy was miles better at overlapping and cutting it back to the six yard box or edge of the box, until Cabaye left we scored loads of goals like that. Don't ever recall Janmaat doing anything like that and quite frankly i don't think he's better than him defensively either, Debuchy was a better one v one defender, better in the air and pushed teams back which nullified their effectiveness mainly. Janmaat has been a good signing, but i really fail to see anything he's better at and pretty convinced the only reason that it's seen that way is because he's the replacement and Debuchy left as soon his mate went basically. Wouldn't surprise me if Wijnaldum is considered better than Cabaye soon either tbh. I normally agree with You but I don't here. Debuchy would bomb ass forward but he'd be out of position far more. Would get rinsed for pace as well. He's the far superior header of the ball and slide tackler. Janmaat covers much better and was versatile enough to look competent at CB. Janmaat' crossing is probably on par but he's whipped in far more and makes intelligent passes throughout. Probably even tbh.

Just watch the vine of him breaking Shaw's ankles without any bit of effort and leave it at that.

Considering there's a couple of changes in direction there I imagine it's pretty bloody rapid. If he went full on sprint he'd have been off side
