  1. God knows what will happen if we get relegated, I have so little faith in Ashley making the right decisions footballing wise, I would not be confident of coming back up anytime soon.
  2. Very poor, fails to do the basics well which I worrying
  3. I've moved to a 9 which is very pessimistic I know but I genuinely have no faith in the management team whatesoever and our midfield looks so, so poor.

    Alan Smith

He's come back even worse than before - may not be fit but that's even more reason not to play him.
  5. Team selection and subsititutions were appalling on Sat.
  6. Tremendous - reward for what exactly? Stewardship of this club is appalling
  7. I've now reflected (its only taken a number of months) and while KK is a great hero of mine, I have now decided he was a tw*t for leaving. Pride and principles apart - if he really cared for the club he should have stuck with us till the end of this season and then left - instead he left us right in the sh*t. Apologies, bit random but it dawned on me last night.
  8. I was in the posh seats last night and Pedro said after the game he was really pissed off that the team 'settled' for a 1-2 defeat half way through the second half.
  9. Income-wise perhaps, but I assume the "we don't have a pot to piss in as far as transfer funds go" rule will continue to apply even if we are relegated. Actually our income wont change much but the cost base will massively reduce. Not trying to be argumentative but how so? How much is the Sky money at the moment compared to what we would get in the Championship? Would we still get 52,000 each week? Surely prices will fall as well for tickets? Sponsorship will surely not be as lucrative for a Championship team with no Sky coverage? I've heard that Corporate sponsorship is expected to half next year anyway due to economy and performances.
  10. I know people keep going on about Hull's recent record but two thoughts spring to mind: 1. They have beat us twice already this campaign 2. What is their run in like compared to ours? (genuine question as I don't know)
  11. The Hull game is massive - if we don't win that then I think there is a very good chance we will go down.
  12. I also find it incredible, that despite his performances and lack of match fitness, our current management team believe he is the best option up front!
  13. Yes, the new contract was a great example of our owner's/manager's competence
  14. The guy has always been cr*p, only thing that every surprises me is the number of chances people give him, both fans and managers
  15. Pluses for me were Bassong, S Taylor, Enrique. First time I have seen R Taylor and to be honest I thought he was average though playing in a way which seemed to be dictated ie staying inside and allowing S Taylor to drive forward, so will reserve judgement. Duff was rank and Ameobi, well I'm just sick and tired of seeing him, he is awful, down right awful. Jonas was also dissapointing for once and while Butt tried his heart out, he is clearly over the hill. Finally, Nolan, what an idiot!
  16. Shola must be dynamite in training, I'm slighly puzzled by the team selection,we shall see....
  17. Its a ridiculous comparision to start with, given what Shearer had brought to the team and the club pre 2004, however, people seem to easily forget what Shearer brought to the team apart from goals, held the ball up, fantastic defender for set pieces and general leader for people to look up to. I'd have a half fit, ageing Alan Shearer over most of the crap we have seen up front over the last 4 or so years.
  18. I had mine read last Tuesday. What's your point? Grant is a better manager than Kinnear - is that clear enough. Oh I do not disagree, and if you read the thread, you will know that isnt what I'm saying. I just think that despite Grant probably being the superior manager of the two, he's a lifeless no mark jobs for the boys manager all the same, and they are BOTH not what I would want at this club. Just because Skoda is better than the Lada I currently own doesn't mean I would jump at the chance to get one. I'd rather get a Ford at the right time, and avoid both of them. Actually, I agree with that, fair point.
  19. To be fair, Grant is out of a job, true enough. However, its only because we have an idiot of a owner that Kinnear has one - nobody else in their right mind would have employed him or would employ him.
  20. I had mine read last Tuesday. What's your point? Grant is a better manager than Kinnear - is that clear enough.
  21. Anyone who would rather have Kinnear than Grant needs their head read.
  22. I may be wrong but did Souness not have bypass surgery when at Liverpool?
  23. Don't be daft, Kinnear has done a good job and in the meantime Hughton will be excellent, why would we need someone else, we are in a great position.
