  1. Ours aren't reliable enough---considering Owen and Martins' goal and injury record. I would rate us at 4th.
  2. ok now it's really depressing.
  3. Possibly Carr, Taylor and Ramage will be our left back next season... Rozehnal and Cacapa aren't coming to warm bench, they will be firm starters.
  4. A good swap imo. Yes Dyer's pace can cause great trouble to the opponents but for this season we also have Owen back to do this job. We don't need a right winger either because we have Geremi, Solano and Milner there. So what we really miss is a rotational player who can play at both midfield and forward. Smith is the one. The only doubt over the transfer is how much can he recovered from the injury. If he can back to his best then this is a bargain---don't forget Dyer can only play for 10 matches per year.
  5. TBH his performance last year is a disgrace. He never pass the ball but just dribble and shot by self and wasted loads of chances---typical signs of wanting to leave the club by trying to catch the camera. He definitely shouldn't be sold now but this guy did have some attitude problems, so I won't be surprised if he's the 2nd Dyer.
  6. Forget him, he's won't be the next Messi nor Eto'o, but just another Portillo.
  7. 7m and he can go. Or else please stay here, a pacy and experienced player is still useful for any team to make changes.
  8. Let him go, I fucking hate the feeling of being ransomed.
  9. If's only about 10 days before the transfer window closed, then I'll prefer to strengthen a position that won't greatly affect our player's teamwork, like the centre back or goal keeper. Sadly I'll prefer a world class left back but not much is available in the market.
  10. You could explain why Viana is highly rated as well as why he couldn't break into top level games, but you couldn't explain Pattison's hype. He's nothing special, no tricks nor visions, and even got no guts to try direct pass. Let him go.
  11. good, right back solved, now left back please.
  12. For a fee below 500K I would say yes. Does anyone figure out e's been shocking in Villa?
  13. The CM partnership will definitely be Deco and Xavi.
  14. Actually I don't rate Huddlestone. His has talents but I don't think he can fully realize his potential. At most he will be a useful substitute but not a player that a team should build around. Taylor still needs a lot of work though. He did have better international prospects because he's captained U19 and U21 team already and has massive reputation within the managers and coaches. Even though Huddlestone may be a better player over Taylor, it's Taylor who has better future because of his status and his impression. Did any spurs fans really have confidence over Huddlestone and wants him to be the key player like Gerrard, or just a useful role player only?
  15. Very good move. If he can back to his peak he can be the best partner of Owen or Martins, or at least he could act as cover for midfield or forward. For only 3.5m nowadays this definitely worths a gamble.
  16. It's probably an ultimatum rather than an assassination...

We have enough strikers------if Owen and Martins stayed. Reinforce the defense first please, Sam...we still need 2 side backs....
  18. Pace isn't everything, take a look at Thomas in Charlton, he's faster, beats people better, but in terms of effectiveness he is a lot worse than Milner. In the end you cannot just evaluate a player's technical abilities but you should observe how well he plays on the pitch. SWP is becoming another Dyer who exploits his pace too much without completely developing his techniques. So at this moment you may say SWP is preferable but around 2 years later definitely Milner must be the better option, which I believe SWP's pace is starting to depreciate at that time, around 27 yrs old. If we want to have a new right winger and sell Duff and N'Zogbia, we better find a better option. A 10m swoop of SWP will be another Duff again-Chelsea's dropout who cannot regain his top form anymore.

    Bye Bye

I can't understand how can that conclusion be drawn by that quote.
  20. I hope we don't sign him tbh. It is clear that he will fall out with the managers and the fans in the end and cost us huge problems and affecting our team morale---if there is.
