Issuing new shares, but ain’t sure whether PIFs controlling % would be diluted. It depends on the type of shares going to issue. Probably this is for complying with PSR - we don’t need to pay interests and thus can lower the financial cost

it’s still fucking poor work from the club. Just think: 1. Why should the team be so dependable on one single player? Where is the tactical flexibility? 2. And even if the above is true or something we cannot change, why don’t we have plans ahead that he might want to leave? Why didn’t we scout for replacement before June? How can we assume the Isak would stay here forever? I mean seriously, if you are Isak, Liverpool is willing to pay you 300k ppw, what would you do? And did the club offered the same amount? Isak is a cunt but it is not something totally unforeseeable and something we cannot prepared for. WE JUST DID NTH. It’s arrogant, ignorant and incompetent. Don’t you get it? A well functioning club shouldn’t be massively impacted by a single cunt’s act. Just like your own business can be ruined by one single staff. The fault is on you.

all the clubs except the biggest few ones face this problem. Even Man Utd couldn’t keep CR7 when Real Madrid jumped in. It’s not something “one-off” we just did a very poor job. Face it. We don’t have planning ahead. We don’t have control. We got mocked by Brentford. We ignored players from other leagues. Would players like Groupi and Rayan choose Bournemouth over us? Did we know them? Or even try to interfere the deal like how Liverpool did to Ekitike?
-
Yea it’s like this 1. Before May / June - NO all agreed that we have to wrap up some deals for the positions that need strengthening ASAP 2. Nth happened till August 3. People start questioning the club and the manager and some will jump out and say “you are just naive to think we can get deals done early, it really depends on the seller, out of control, not our fault etc” 4. End up settling for 4/5th choices with staggering price “that’s the cost we have to pay, we do not have bargain power etc” And the worst thing is no one needs to be accountable for this
-
So our clubs worth increased from 300m to 1.5bn? And how much investment has been injected by PIF since takeover? Sounds like a masterpiece by PIF and Staveley - and also about time to, reap the rewards?
-
Impressive that Emery doesn’t have enough time for training, doesn’t have injury crisis, and keep on losing players due to PSR, and still able to win a Europe Cup and finish top 5 in the league
-
He is following Botmans route - trying to drum up external interest to see if he can get a big move to the contenders. And if he failed, he would ask for a big pay rise to stay here. You can kinda sense that Isak, Botman, Tino and Gordon shared similar vibes.

Well given how difficult it is to find a striker that fit Howe’s tactics, I’d prefer to stick with starting Osula next season, and try to find the next Osula in the market (10-20m ish, younger, similar attributes) to serve as the backup.
-
I don’t think the article is objective to read. Howe has genuinely done a lot of wrongs and nothing was mentioned there.
-
well I think we all know Gordon and Tino are the ones. Would be over the moon if they are the only outgoings. I rate Gordon and I think he would be hard to replace in our Plan A BUT if Eddie finally move to other setup I.e. 4231 then we would be fine
-
I doubt that. I mean, at least based on the priority, Gordon and Willock definitely have Howe’s full backing, till the latter part of this season
-
Nick switching the role occasionally Anyway it would work as long as Nick is playing in a more advanced role and Bruno is playing as a 6. In a way I would argue Bruno as part of the double pivot is the most crucial change.
-
The problem with Willock is more on his mental side. We have tried our best and I don’t think he would have any further improvement. Bye.
-
Now please stick to this 4231 and don’t go back to the 433 again I don’t think we are that fucking good at this 4231 yet, it’s just that fucking Plan A has been found out by everyone already
-
Wow. Great goal that.
-
Genuine question. Did Osula score more in this season than Isak during last season, a per minute basis?
-
How can this not be a red FFS
-
Ah shit. Here we go again
-
You can see Tonali is now more comfortable to chase and cover everywhere because he knows Bruno would be protecting the core area.
-
I mean, we are playing football. Jesus.
-
I told you guys this 4231 would work!
-
This 4231 is exactly what I want. Please, keep this and get a result today. We need this for next season.
-
It’s the hope that kills me
-
I don’t think it’s good news, sorry. Just like Trippier this season.

and you need to consider the work load of a modern manager as well. It’s simply impossible to ask Howe and read and analyse all the scout reports on the table. He still need to handle first team coaching and tactics. Those are his primary tasks. Alex Ferguson, in his last days at Man Utd, actually worked like a DOF more than a manager. His coaches handled most of the training work and tactics. Howe isn’t this type of manager, although I know some of the people here wants him to become one
