  1. Milner's had a decent international record. Played in teh CL. Bellamy went on to score on the winning side at the Nou Camp
  2. This season we are the perfect club for him. A better side won't let him have so much freedom. But the class of him means he would do a great job as a deeper player. Unlike Fellaini, he has the ability to play a bit deeper and still look good. Really wish we had a player like him him during SBR's tenure. We would've won something
  3. You're asking fans of a team whose best teams over the last 50 years have been free-scoring teams that are loose at the back.
  4. The last thing Norwich need is more uncreative huff. Hughts has lost it.
  5. If we had 2016 in mind, we should have gone with younger lads from the qualifying phase. We didn't. So we should go with the Gerrard +1 we have had during qualification.
  6. Banning loans between teams in the PL wouldn't help the matter. The likes of Sturridge and Moses would just play in crap leagues abroad.
  7. Carrick and Gerrard both suffer from the same issue of needing someone with legs around him. Unfortunately, I don't think Wilshre is the man to provide it. Gerrard will start but i'm not sure who will partner him. Vitally important Sturridge is fit.
  8. I hate this s***. I'm not absolving him of poor performances. Purely in terms of his goal record, though, it's lower than it rightfully should be. He had offside goals wrongly allowed too. As you would expect from a player of his nature. But some people always forget those.
  9. For some reason that's my favourite goal of his. Absolutely sublime. Reminded of something Henry would dream he could pull off.
  10. By Chelsea I thought he was capable of anything - and amazing happened. Twice. But for me it was the Swansea game. He hit one of them like a golf shot, the other almost as good. At that point £10m looked an absolute bargain. But at the back of my mind, I kind of suspected it was too good to be true to keep up. And of course it was but the fall has been dramatic to say the least
  11. I'd play Cole this WC (unless we really needed a win in the last game, then i'd start Baines). Him, Lampard & Gerrard never being called up again. Lord knows the latter two won't call it a day on their own merit at this pace.
  12. The wide players are often really deep.. so we end up with a flat 4 in midfield in Cabaye noticeably higher up than anyone else.
  13. Can't really remember tbh, just remember watching him and thinking we've dodged a 12 million pound bullet with this lad. He was breaking down his teams attacks rather than being on the end of them Just like Cisse. But tbh, I like the idea of De Jong. I would even take a prime Dirk Kuyt type player if we could sign Remy permanently. Just looked at his wiki and Dirk Kuyt has 98 bloody caps for Netherlands.
  14. Pardew likes 4 at the back and 4 in midfield. We call it a 4-2-3-1 but it's a 4-4-1-1 in reality.
  15. Jonas is a shrewd loan for Norwich. He will win free kicks and help to run down the clock in games they are hanging on for points in. He fits the situation they are in very well. Plus it's not like they paid any money. They need to attack teams and give it a go. I love Jonas but the last thing they need is him lumbering around on the wings, not providing for their strikers. Norwich are all huff and no creativity, pace or excitement as it is.
  16. He just signed Jonas. Hughton's not even trying to evolve.
  17. Said this awhile ago when people were crying out for him to play further forward. He's at his best with time and space to pick a pass.. preferrably long distance, he doesn't get that higher up. He's a good finisher when running onto the ball from deeper, whether in the box or outside. He's not like Nolan who could find space in the box if it was crowded... And then there's the slow feet/no pace.. His position for France is just perfect. He's not the deepest nor the furthest forward whenever i've seen them. Don't know why we can't play a real 4-3-3. Our wide players are so deep that we need a CM to always be pished up,
  18. He's a big tall lad but from that one time, he wasn't putting it about at all. Wijnaldum or something was very impressive.
  19. De Jong was terrible that one time I saw him play for the Dutch U-21. Played like a lanky Cisse.
  20. He's never looked like dropping Sissoko either.
  21. He's not dropping Tiote/Cabaye and he wants to shoe-horn Anita in because he deserves to play.
  22. If Pardew's not going to trust the HBA enigma, we can forget about the Marv. He prefers people who consistently give him 5's/lots of running.
