Ayew always reminded me of James Milner. In a good way.

Everyone saying Ba should play on the left so Cisse can play in the middle is getting blocked. Ridiculous.
-
It hasn't. Chelsea just need one player - a striker. They've built the side up pretty well otherwise. Maybe a CM. The rest have just been fannying around a lot. L'pool did a lot of rebuilding in winter and last year...
-
I'd want them fighting for one spot, who performs better plays. This is the only thing that makes sense.
-
Yep. Nothing has changed, Ba is much more suitable to the left-side role. Looney talk.
-
If Ba came back.... would people seriously want to see him wide to accommodate Cisse in the middle? the same Cisse from the last year?
-
Yep. Running on the bones risks relegation. He'll aim to lower the debt in hopes it boosts the sale chances and make it more attractive to investors. Any business that runs on limited investment will struggle to keep turning tidy profits.
-
The worst thing about Arsenal fans is how they treat their players.
-
Demba Ba works in a Pardew system. Feeds off scraps and gets goals. He's a hyena or something. He even manages to make Shola useful. I'd have him every day over Cisse. Let Cisse sit on that bench.
-
Yes. We'd need to put Cisse on the bench however
-
It's a little blasphemous imo to compare Cisse to Andy Cole. I do think Andy Cole would struggle a little in this era but his touch in the box was superb. A better finisher than Cisse. Also stronger and more powerful in tight pockets to get himself a yard of space.
-
He's fat as fook. He doesn't look like an elite athlete at all. Compare him to Gareth Bale and its disgusting. I'm just talking physically. He's over-rated aye.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Or he's refusing to play and we don't want to actually say he's refusing to play because it makes our position look weaker? Who knows what's happening, just throwing a possible alternative out there. I don't doubt we'll be happy to sell him for top money either, don't believe we'll sell him otherwise though and I think our past dealings back that up. I don't believe he's refusing to play. -
Yep. He's a real danger when Chelsea play counter-attacking football. Was brilliant when Chelsea won the CL (against Barca he scored and assisted superbly) and FA Cup.

We'll sell for whatever we are offered at 6pm on deadline day. Can see it being around £14m. -

The club wants to cash-in. He's not even been hotly pursued but at the first sign of real interest he's with the reserves. I can somewhat understand City but to miss Wham after we've rejecting a bid shows we are not serious about keeping him. -
Sell Cisse. Get Ba and. Wide man.

Excellent post. Very true.

Seems like being a decent TV pundit gets you a job in the FA
-
Yep. It's backfired massively.

Wasn't any good. Wasn't exceptionally bad. I don't think Pardew expected City to line-up 4-4-2 (or similar). From the start Jonas was basically playing LM as they played very well down their right handside. So in the middle Fernandinho-Toure took Siss-Tiote apart and they hit their front men quickly - the front men linked up well with each other too. Tiote seemed to try and engage Toure I think but Toure always had a striker to pick out or a wide man. Every. Single Time. With City's pace, power and movement it looked like they had an extra midfielder.. well they did really. We had 3 and they had 4.

there's still hope for Debuchy. But it's just hope at the moment.
-
Anita played a very box to box role last season. On Monday he played DM. And he was as bad as anyone and didn't offer anything IMO. Whenever I see him he offers nowt. He's as bad as Tiote atm, probably worse.
-
What about Anita? His passing range is limited yet his pass completion is lower than Tiote's.
-
We aren't even a particularly physical side - especially without Cabaye. It's petulance more than anything. The only lads that get stuck in are Tiote and Debuchy.
