  1. Our little wobble around 80 mins. was largely his fault. Kept getting harried and losing the ball. Also he should focus on closing down players when they counter instead of trying to read the pass. Close them down, if they go past you take the yellow. Forgot who lost the ball but the break was on for Wigan, instead of closing down the player he tried to read the pass.. the player decided he would just run past Tiote and could've scored. Tiote did teh same thing for one of S'hampton's goals, tried to read the pass and the oppo just ran past him.
  2. His actual passing is pretty good imo. Taking too long on the ball is his issue.
  3. Aye when he was our best defender and one of our best players for the first 6 months he was s**** then too or it just didn't happen and we all imagined it Apart from the Southampton game( not including today and Haidara was just as to blame) he's been fine since the new signings, he's just the next in line of players to scapegoat. Funny how Haidara was poor defensively before his injury and against Anzhi but its never mentioned because he's the new boy ( best wishes to him in his recovery btw) Shouldn't be quoting me. I've thought he's been poor defensively all season, we all know this. It's not uncommon for the opposition to sling the ball to their LW area and Santon isn't there. 5 seconds later, he's still not there.
  4. Worried if you thought we went 3-5-2, but as a wide player in 4-3-2-1 we switch to he did play well. Looked to me we went 3-5-2 when Shola went on.... Perch-Taylor-Yanga Santon Jonas Tiote-Marv-Siss With Santon at least pushing forward. Nah, he kept the back four with Perch, Saylor, Mapou and Jonas. Then had Toite, Sissoko and Santon right out wide right. Then stuck Cisse and Marv in behind Shola.....as lobsided as you can get. Great management like Nope we definitely had a back 3. Would you like me to take pictures?
  5. Aye this isn't new. Has been horrible defensively all season.

  7. "whenever he gets the ball" is not correct. Obviously. But it happens a few times when he should probably look for a team mate. Every single game. Is this a fair assessment?
  8. Horrible at fullback today. In the 3-5-2 with less defensive duties looked much better. He literally goes missing at FB.
  9. Aye, Pardew seemingly doesn't rate Anita at all.
  10. Pretty good game I thought from him.
  11. This is what I said against Stoke.
  12. Today? Pressure him and he'll lose it.
  13. funioy enough the situation is similar. People didn't want to admit it but his passing was fine against Stoke. Put him Jonas and Anita, 2 that go hiding in possession he's forced to take responsibility o get the team going. Nicky Butt had too much responsibility in our side too. But that was all the time for a year or so.
  14. Here we go again. At Stoke his passing was very good. He largely kept it simple and his longer balls where good. Against Anzhi, he lost the ball twice in our half. That was his big mistake. His most common pass was to Cabaye which is very positive. Problem is, with Anita going missing in games and Jonas being the type to pass on responsibility in possession the onus is on Tiotr to get things going and push the team forward, something he won't hide from but should never have to do.
  15. For me i thought he could be the difference in Europe this season.
