Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Dissappointing that he got injured. Didn't play very well while he was on imo. -
He lost the ball twice in our half. 3 or 4 times is an exaggeration.
-
He gets the ball too much like. He made more attempted passes than Cabs, Anita & Jonas combined. Lost the ball poorly twice but largely steadied his ship. I wish Anita made himself the presence Tiote does. 124 attempted passes compared to Anita's 40.
-
I have time for Pards. However, he definitely thinks to be defensive and solid first and foremost, get a cleansheet or only concede once. With Cabs, Marv/HBA, Siss & Cisse we can score a couple.
-
Hasn't had a kick in seemingly ages tbf to the lad. Playing infrequently won't help.
-
Debuchy Azpilicueta unproven at Prem. Sagna - no. So he's at least 3rd. He's now solid defensively. Can cut inside and strike on his left. Still pretty quick. Good overall technical skills imo. He's a top player imo.
-
It's 16 or so months away. Still some way better than Cahill.
-
Actually, he's been one of their most consistently solid performers. Very good player, off day. This Arsenal side of the last 16 months isn't good enough nor Arsenal quality. Give me Flamini (at the time), Silva, Petit etc. over Arteta. He's not in THAT bracket.
-
This is a completely meaningless point at this juncture because he hasn't yet been employed in a role that would necessitate working as hard as Vieira. I've seen him play many times before.
-
If we had Vieira, I'd play him. Question is if he works as hard as Tiote or Anita. I'm not saying it's the best formation or his best position, it's just a tactical possibility. No I don't think he would. "Work hard" sounds bad but Siss and yaya just aren't all that switched on defensively imo. For some games, such as Stoke, definitely. Don't think it's Siss long-term position.
-
He doesn't work as hard as Paddy. He's more of a Yaya. Vieira is much better defensively.
-
Arsenal defended very well. If they defend with that desire and concentration, they'll finish top 4 imo.

Who do you want promoted from the Championship? [2012/13 Edition]

I picked Leeds by accident. Anyone who has been to Elland Road knows it's not the place to be like. -
Arteta's never Arsenal quality.
-
If Villa win that match, it opens up a mini gap at the bottom. Going to be an intersting match. I think Sunderland Norwich is a big match, both teams can pretty much make themselves safe. Neither will get relegated. Norwich will pick up enough draws and the odd win to finish lower midtable.
-
If he's going to play like he did on Stoke, he'll need to average 2 in 3 imo. Like I said at the time, if he keeps scoring I can put up with the crap performances. Fully agree with Beren. "He has to do better."
-
Christian lad isn't he? Think that's good for a footballer, especially an English one. STay awa from the booze, glitz and glam.
-
Carvalho was a great defender no doubt. But so was John Terry man. Just as Terry needed a quicker, more intelligent player alongside him. Carvalho needed someone with brute strength and real leadership skills such as Terry & Costa.
-
Him talking incredible amounts of s*** is my main problem with him. Hilariously, most people agree with the points I make. They just don't want to admit it. Tiresias shared my sentiments.
-
The poster version of Jonas/Tiote.
-
Aye, it's going to require some smarts from Pardew, knowing how to use Sissoko differently in certain games. Someone made a brilliant post about Yaya, and how Mancini shifts him back and forwards depending on the situation and the opposition. Against Stoke we really needed someone with technique as the furthest forward midfielder, eventually that came in the form of Marveaux. Agreed.
-
So that's 3 in 9 in the real world?

I have multiple degrees like but aye, keep running the same tired joke.
