  1. x months ago it was "Lennon so much better than Milner". Yeah Lennon is also better than Milner. Do you think a winger will resolve all our problems? There are a million things wrong at the minute and dreaming about wingers who we have no chance of signing is the least of m worries. Nope it wont resolve all our problems but it's a solution for one of them.

  3. City are great in the air. Milner is s**** at crossing. Aye that didn't help much either. I know he wouldn't join us but David Bentley is twice the player Milner is.
  4. Played well, u reckon? First half we where good to decent. We looked devoid of everything in the second half.
  5. I lost my connection just before the 75th minute. Seems like I won't be missing anything positive. smh. Second half has been shite.
  6. We need more of a threat through the middle. Butt is lost. Okay he's gone now.
  7. Never more than 2 players in the box atm. If we ever manage to put a decent ball in it's not like Dunne and Richards are poor in the air either.
  8. Both have been poor. I reckon Dunne and Co. will have Viduka in their back pocket for most of the rest of the match however I doubt Martins will fashion an opportunity today at all.
  9. Did we score? Have I missed something? No, but booing after a performance like the one we produced against Liverpool is embarrassing enough, nevermind when we've been the better team. The Liverpool booing was justified imo. There was barely any booing today.
  10. We should go in for someone like Bentley. Unfortunately Bentley joining us would be a side step at best.
  11. I'd say West Ham are in that second tier. Then there's us and Reading and the rest are battling relegation. Oh yeah Spurs as well. Out of all those managers Parky listed, Big Sam is easily the most boring out of the lot.
  12. Lots of straw grasping here. MON took Villa forward, got them organised defensively and looking somewhat threatening in attack. They also had 2 long unbeaten runs. Moyes had some yo-yo seasons with Everton. Thing is: He actually achieved some success.. infact he over-achieved with Everton when they finished 4th. The next season was bad but they had a good season the next. If that season was bad he probably would've been sacked. Since then they've got better year-on-year.
  13. Villa also had 2 long undefeated runs where they looked decent. We haven't. We've looked shit for most of the season and will probably battle it out with Reading to finish 12th. Sam has to give us a reason to have patience.
  14. Albion have this weird liking for taking fees when it suits their tax liability. There was a similar deal for Kusczak with Man United. Basically, there is no way we can legally get out of paying that for Davies, we just don't give it to the dirty Tesco Bag wankers until next summer. The deal is done. Where's he been for the last few months? Injured?
  15. Keane's more consistent but Berbatov is the more gifted player. When he can be bothered he's unplayable. Old Purple Nose would sort him out. Keane is playing the best football of his career and its going largely unnoticed.
  16. Was Curtis Davies on loan? I've always rated him but I thought his fee was a bit large (£10M was it?). If he was on loan that would be a good way of lessoning the burden of his fee.
  17. Footballers of the past were trained to play in all kinds of positions, street football dictated that. Today players are giving a position in their youth and usually stick to that one position for life. Platini & Hoddle played in CM didn't they? imo those powder puffs would need to play elsewhere for most teams... certainly the Premiership. I need some examples of these forever adapting players of the past you described above. They'd both easily be good enough I reckon. Hoddle played sweeper a few times in Premiership didn't he when he was nearly finished? And Platini was a canny bit better than Hoddle. Platini played as an attacking CM/link player really btw. Aye, no doubt they would be good enough but I don't think they could play CM in todays football.
  18. That first Shola compilation in youtube is hilarious.
